Sweet, steamy love story!

This book is everything you could ever want from a good small town romance. I went in without reading book 1 and do not feel like I missed out on anything by doing so. I will definitely go back to read book 1 when I have time just to see how the other characters ended up together. I dont think there is a single thing that I did not love about this book.

The narration was absolutely amazing as it is with every book Wen and Kai narrate!

Love Trevor Allen!

This was a cute childhood friends to lovers, older woman/younger man romance. We first met Claire and Trevor in Crazy Sexy Love, and though this is technically book 2 in the series, it can be enjoyed as a standalone.

I really liked that there wasn't any unnecessary drama in this one, and that from the start, Claire and Trevor are focused on each other. Claire did frustrate me at times, but Trevor really was so wonderfully sweet. Their baggage and history have molded them into the people they are today and it was at times so heartbreaking to see them work through their pasts. Trevor's big reveal was especially emotional and one that I didn't see coming. Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross were fantastic as always in this duet narration. They captured the vulnerability of these two characters so perfectly and I'm always impressed by their chemistry.

It was great to catch up with Rhett and Mo as well as Claire's mom and Mo's dad. I'm hoping to see a story for Cooper eventually, but I'm especially intrigued by Lincoln and Adley. There were some great bread crumbs dropped to set up their story next and I can't wait!

I WANTED TO LOVE IT.. BUT SADLY I DIDN’T

I loved the previous book in the Dirty Dicks series.. but unfortunately, with this story, I just though “meh”. It was a sweet listen about lifelong friends (from a group of friends and family) who daren’t act on their attraction to each other for various different personal reasons. Despite their long-felt chemistry, they only looked and lusted in secret.. until finally, at the ages of 25 and 29, close proximity got too much and they kissed. They agreed to ignore that kiss.. but Fate and Destiny created a life-threatening drama.. one that will ignite feelings. And it will lead to a beautiful passionate relationship.. it will lead to heartfelt declarations.. it will lead to secrets being revealed.. it will lead to fears becoming reality.. and it will all end in tears.

Despite the wonderful Duet style dual POV narration by Kai and Wen, I just kind of lost interest and thought about stopping it but eventually I put it on double speed to get to the end. It was nothing to do with Trevor the Firefighter as he was all kinds of a wonderful hero.. no, my gripe was entirely with Claire the four years older than him weak heroine who (IMO) didn’t deserve him. The ‘secret’ was guessable almost from its first mention, there were parts that were a bit boring and the inevitable ‘angst’ at the end had me wanting to throttle Claire.

Worth a credit? For me, sorry it’s a no.. sadly, it fell flat and never quite recovered - but you may love it.

My Two Pennies

Kai and Wen are THE duo! They work so well together and they’re passion for the stories is clearly heard throughout.
5 smokin hot stars! Trevor and Claire’s story is filled with friendship, romance and even a bit of heartache but that’s what makes their story a page turner. I couldn’t get enough of Trevor and all his firefighter sexiness. Claire is a wonderful caring teacher and when she puts her heart into something or someone she gives her all. This is a beautiful story that I’m sad to have finished but will absolutely be reading again in the future. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Crazy, Hot Love

Although this is the second book in a series, you can read it as a stand-alone. This was a great addition to this series and I am so glad to see another happy ending. Watching these two struggle with some very real problems that people can relate to and overcome them together was so fun to listen too. I can’t wait to see what this group has in store for us in the next book.

I really enjoyed this story! Trevor Allen is the perfect book boyfriend. I do wish I would have read book 1 first. Loved the narration.

Crazy Hot Friends to Lovers Romance!

I love friends to lovers romance and this was crazy hot fun! Claire Daniels is tired of her friends setting her up on bad dates. Her rules for the man she wants is working against her as well. Her childhood friend is a hot sexy fireman but since she lost her father in a fire she refuses to risk her heart on one. But Trevor has always wanted Claire and it's time to change her mind. This is my first book from K.L. Grayson and I loved it. It is fun & flirty and sweet and very hot & steamy. Claire, Trevor and their friends are all great characters who I want to be friends with. Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross' narration make this story even more exciting and entertaining. Their accents are believable, delivery is on point, and their chemistry is palpable. I really enjoyed this romance and want to listen to the first book, Crazy Sexy Love.

Great Story!

This was my first K.L. Grayson's book. This is the second book in the Dirty Dicks Series. I haven't read the first book yet. This story is well written, sweet, funny, heartfelt and sexy. I loved Claire and Trevor's story. They share a strong and beautiful chemistry. I loved the background story about life of the firefighters and their family. The narration was as great as always with Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross. I love their perfect duet! I enjoyed my listening. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Sweet and steamy romance with feels! Love the narration!

Because of something that happened in her past Claire has strict rules when it comes to love and dating. She’s learned to protect her heart above all else. Trevor has wanted Claire for most of his life, but she’s strictly off limits because she’s his older brothers’ best friend. Not to mention what he does for a living makes him undatable in Claire’s eye. She’s always been unreachable to him, but always in his sights.

Despite this Trevor and Claire have an attraction that can’t be denied. The chemistry between them sizzles and crackles with every interaction. Their banter was amazing. Trevor is a total sweetheart and stole my heart as he won over Claire’s. Claire was skittish and I understood her reasons, but at times she came off as a tad annoying. Still, I rooted for them to finally get together and when they finally did it was everything I wanted and more.

Narration by Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott was wonderful! This duo aways brings all the emotions from their narrations to the forefront and their chemistry narrating always makes the book they narrate a more enjoyable listen. Also, Wen Ross doing a southern accent is my new favorite thing. Delish! 4 Stars.
