Love, love, love

Ok. Where to start? I think the depth of the characters really make this story. This family and the town are so easy to fall in love with. It makes you feel like you could live there forever with happiness and contentment. The emotions and the people are realistic and draw the reader in without a ton of plot twists. I’ve read a lot of Jessie Gussman books and I’ve enjoyed every single one. But a Gussman book read to me by Jay Dyess? Yes, please. Amazing voice that I could listen to for hours. I usually listen to my books on a faster speed...not this one! Looking forward to the next Gussman Dyess book!
I received this audiobook and have chosen to give an honest review.

Absolutely Charming

I loved this story! The characters were so witty and well written and had wonderful chemistry. The narrator was great. I look forward to listening to the rest of the series.

Great Start to the Series

Cowboy Palmer is concerned that they may need to sell the family's ranch, when the opportunity to receive the much needed money arrives. Of course there is a hitch -- Palmer needs to be married within six months in order to keep the money. Ames, who is Palmer's best friend, is happy to help find his new bride.

What a great start to the series! I loved the humorous banter between Ames and Palmer. The story is well written and I was drawn in by the family and the town. While I am not usually a fan of male narrators for romance, I thought that Jay Dyess did a wonderful job with the narration.

I was given this audio book at my request and am voluntarily leaving this review.

Well-written, clean, cowboy romance!

I don’t pass out 5 star reviews like candy, but I felt that I had stepped into a real setting with real people and real problems. Nothing felt manufactured in this story and the angst didn’t drag on and on.

The Billionaire part was hardly mentioned, which was fine with me. And all the farming/ranching jargon and situations felt real. Like the author had lived it and knew what she was talking about!

I liked that church-going was included. It was a part of the rural setting she created and she didn’t skip how important it was to the people in the story.

The side characters/townsfolk were well-drawn and believable, even the slightly goofball ones ;-)

Narration 4.5 stars. The voice actor sounded just like a cowboy and was the perfect voice for the story! I can’t wait to hear more of his narrations!

Well-done Ms. Gussman and Mr. Dyess! I’m eager to listen to the next book in the series!

love this series so far!

this is the first book I've listened to buy this narrator, however he sounds familiar to me so I'm wondering if he uses different names for different types of books. Normally I'm not a fan of men doing women's voices, but his wasn't cheesy or annoying like I've come across before.

I love this story! I love friends to more, and I've listened to or read quite a few books now by this author and have never been disappointed once. I've already dug into listening to book 2 of the series.

A good start to the series

I read the book, and decided to listen to the story as well. I have come to discover that listening brings the stories to life.
This one is the first in the author’s series titled Sweet Water Ranch Billionaires. Sweet Water is a town where everyone knows each other, where the winters are tough and the summers filled with work and beautiful skies.
But ranch work is hard and this story proves it.
Ames and Palmer have been best friends since HS . Ames, very competitive, was an Olympian athlete and always seeking adventure. Now living in LA and hoping for a promotion, comes home for a visit.
Palmer is now the one running his family’s ranch. It’s hard work specially when the family is struggling. When a letter arrives that might change his future, life is viewed differently.
Love starts to blossom but sacrifices will have to be made . Can they accomplish that and still be happy or will they each go their separate way.
A sweet romance and a series that promises to bring an array of stories to keep us enchanted with the town and it’s inhabitants.
Last but not least, the narrator did a fairly good job in performing the various characters.
