Marry for Money or Love?

Georgia has had feelings for Sawyer for years. He seems like a good guy who just can’t catch a break after buying his rundown ranch. Sawyer was attracted to Georgia, but he was afraid of what his best friend Ford would do to him if he acted on it. He didn’t know about Georgia’s feelings for him or he might not have considered marrying the selfish gambling addicted woman Danielle he met online for the billion dollar inheritance. Georgia was amazing taking care of Sawyer’s cows and him while he recovered from pneumonia and almost dying. I liked the cute little scoop nicknames they gave each other.

I loved the narrator who had a smooth rhythm to his reading with nice and funny inflections and he sounded like a natural cowboy with his accent.

Another winner!

This is a stand-alone, but I am enjoying catching up with characters from earlier books. Jessie Gussman is immensely talented. The characters, flow, storyline, and her writing style are wonderful. This is a clean, sweet, and entertaining read. A Gussman/Dyess pairing is unbeatable.

Love An Honorable Cowboy!

This is such a sweet story. It has a headstrong, single minded yet honorable male who met his match with his best friends little sister! It is a great addition to the Sweet Water Series. Jay Dyess brings this book to life with his husky male voices! I received this ARC copy but the review is my own. I truly enjoyed this Audiobook!

Sawyer puts EVERYTHING on the line for his ranch.

Sawyer puts EVERYTHING he has on the line to ensure that his ranch succeeds. He will work himself to death. He will starve himself. He will even hire a temporary wife in order to gain his inheritance.
His commitment to take care of what belongs to him is so much a part of him that there is little he won't do. But to destroy lifelong friendships in the process? That is just too high of a price to pay.
Will he be able to have a fake marriage with someone who could actually make his dreams come true? His friendships are important! Are they at risk? Can the fake remain fake or will it sometime become true for both of them? Will his friendships survive in the process? With all of the questions swirling around in his head, can they find a way forward?
That is where the author shines! She allows it all to play out without bogging the story down. She pulls you into the story to feel all that is at stake, all of the possibilities and all the risk.
If you only have this book, you can safely read it as a standalone...but each in the series makes it worthwhile to read them all. With that said, I feel confident we aren't finished with this community yet. There are still others who need their HEA.

With audio books, the narrator can make or break the story. Fortunately the narrator is a perfect match for this series. His voice quality & pacing bring the story to life.

I was fortunate to receive a review copy of this story and am happily posting my opinions.

A fun read

What I liked or found interesting:

• At the beginning of the novel, Sawyer's hospital escape scene had me hysterically laughing. This definitely engaged me in the story.
• There was wonderful, witty banter between all of the characters. I loved it!
• This was a clean read. But that doesn't take away from the romance between Sawyer and Georgia.
• The descriptions of locations and emotions were well done and easy to visualize and to feel. I felt a part of the scenes.
• The pacing of the story was neither too slow nor too fast.
• There was a smooth, coherent flow to this book. The author's writing style was vivid and clear.
• Jay Dyess does an amazing job in bringing this story to life and with great humor.

At my request, I was given a free copy of this audiobook from the author. I have voluntarily left my review and my opinions were my own.
