Publisher's summary

From the New York Times bestselling queen of cowboy romance comes a "charming novel in which friendship, family, love, and trust abound." (Fresh Fiction)

Patience was never one of her virtues. After her SUV runs off the road in the middle of a Texas blizzard and her cell stops working, Claire Mason is about to snap. Getting back home to Oklahoma with her four-year-old niece is top priority. And lucky for her, help comes in the form of a true Texas cowboy...

Levi Jackson has always been a sucker for strays. So he can't help getting involved when he comes across Claire and her little niece shivering in the cold. By offering them a place to stay until her car is fixed, he can make sure the two are taken care of—and get to know the sassy Claire better.

What starts as something awkward and temporary starts feeling cozier by the minute. And soon Levi is hoping he can convince Claire she has a permanent place in his heart.

Critic reviews

"The slow-simmering romance between Claire and Levi is enhanced by the kind supporting characters and the simple pleasures of ranch life in a story that's sure to please fans of cowboy romances." (Publishers Weekly)

"Charming moments sneak into character conversations by Carolyn Brown, which is typical of her work, and no different in the latest Longhorn Canyon novel. Friendship, family, love, and trust abound in Cowboy Honor."—Fresh Fiction

Good story but there was no bonus novella.

I like this series, the characters and the narration. Was disappointed because it says there was supposed to be a bonus novella but if there was one I missed it.

A good Holiday Story!

You can almost feel the snow and later the freezing rain! And the animals make you smile with the way they interact with the children and adults alike. And the story sneaks in Thanksgiving and on into Christmas. A very feel good storyline! The only problem was how did she make so many quilts for Christmas presents so fast!! Lol. A good story for a wild year like this one.

Cute story!!

Lovely story about two ordinary people falling in love! The fact that Justin was a foreman and was concerned about being enough for Claire was endearing!

waste of time

if your into adults taking care of a 5 year old girl and the inter action between them then this is the book for you. if you want to listen to a 5 year constantly getting what she wants then go for it. ultimate care was given to the child so she would suffer no disappointment and forever know she was loved which is a wonderful thing and the adults gave her that in spades. she is a sweet little girl with very little bad behavior but she had very little to act out for.
a book about a cowboys honor it isn't. his honor consisted of doing what he said he was going to do and nothing more.
the narrator did a good job of voicing a 5 year old and that is what you will listen to most. the story line is weak and not really believable.
