This is a audio book with exceptional story.

Very readable. The topic is not dealt with light heartedly, but neither is the discussion without humour and the recognition of human foibles. Wholly recommend

Easy to understand

The guide covers all main life situations with advice to remain safe. The book does not bring any breakthrough information, which is OK as the advice should be based on best practice, facts, and research. I would recommend this guide to anybody who wants to remain safe.

So glad to listen this one.

The author presents an excellent survey of the science and history of pandemic disease. He did not get bogged down in jargon or science beyond my grasp.

Great book.

Well I don't normally read books as such but this one I cannot put down 😃 It's well written with a bit of humour and real life events of this awful virus. I purchased it to help with a great cause but also for my grandchildren and the children they may have in years to come as one day all of this will be history. Highly recommend this.

WOW

I am about a third of the way through MacKenzie's book - and taking copious notes. This book is chalk full of information on one of the main reasons why I bought the book - what we knew about SARS-like coronaviruses leading up to this.

I don't yet know if the book covers failures of the Trump administration or of governments in general.

An interesting monograph

Very well-written and highly readable, my only caveat is that it has appeared before the coronavirus pandemic has run its course and some parts may be superseded by developments

Interesting but by its very nature quickly dates

Interesting, particularly about how scientists communicate and work together. By its very nature it will date quickly but definitely worth a read all the same

Compulsive reading

A sobering but very lucid and well written book, which helps the layperson understand some of the science. Also good on the risks going foward and the need for us all to hold governments to account to work collaboratively, in spite if the risks that they all fail (again)
