Brooke can be stranger - but good series

Love this series it’s a really mild Eve and Roarke; less action , less maturity, less intensity but cute.
Brooke let’s you down constantly not getting to her gun like Ever, but the one time she does she drops it!; and she is always being caught from behind without ever using any defense tactics! Cmon femme heroine!!! Love the idea of Declan but he should be able to take care of his own woman’s problems instead of hiring Demitre

Great series

Great series filled with interesting characters and storyline. I love series and it fun to follow characters through several books.

some of this stuff did make damn sense

she put her self in unbelievable danger like waking up from a dream and GOING OUT SIDE FOR AIR there was other things that drove me Crazy

Good, but...

I like the story and narrator, but sometimes it's just ridiculous. For someone who is supposed to be good at what she does she has no sense of self preservation. Sheesh

Great story

I am thoroughly enjoying Declan’s and Brooke’s adventures! Well written, and well performed. Very much looking forward to the next in the series.

Intriguing book, character development needs work

it's a good book overall, but Brooke needs to learn from her mistakes. She thinks she is invincible, then is shown again and again that she isn't. Instead of developing her character, she continues these idiotic decisions. Alan Smyth doesn't do accents well. I've enjoyed the other books, and this one is alright, but it's not as good as the others.

These books are good BUT!

But they are also a bit frustrating and annoying. I mean I don't want to give to much away but the writer kind of makes him seem weak and more sappy than he should be. She tried to hard to make sure the lead female is such a strong feminist that she makes what's supposed to be a strong hot sexy male role seem so weak in the way and pussified. A woman can be strong and just as important as her man without chopping his balls off to make her seem more important and strong etc. I cannot stand woman that feel the need to put down the opposite sex to prove they are just as good strong or hell even better than. It's not nessicarliy always true is it. It can be close but stop! It comes to a point where it's overbearing and annoying. A woman can be strong in her own right without all of this BS.

Stunning twists and turns!

I think this is my favorite so far of this series. Dimitri's inclusion in the story line was fantastic and I like that Brooke is coming around where Aiden is concerned. I will say though, many of the decisions Brooke makes are unrealistic for a badass FBI agent. Maybe for a rookie but not a seasoned agent...and the same mistake twice in one book? I can deal with it because overall, I live the series, the characters, and the narrators. on to book #4!

Excellent

Best in the series so far. Brooke is continuing her work as director of Homeland security, well Declan is trying to keep her from getting killed and getting her to marry him. His dangerous past and friend Dimitri are finding their past catching up with them.

story line not as captivating

the story line wasn't as captivating as the first book in the series. It picked up in chapter 6 so I did listen to the rest of the book.
