My oldest enemy is back from the dead.
My father.
Backed by an army of witches and mercenaries, he's determined to steal my magic and make me his slave again - and to subject my sister to the same fate.
To save us, I'll need both my packs. The Northern wolves I loved first, the ones who saved me. The dangerous but alluring men of the Atlantic pack who have won my heart since. Their alphas are childhood friends turned sworn enemies. But I have no time for men's drama.
They called me the shifter princess.
They'll learn I'm the queen.
Contains mature themes.

We get so much in book 3 of this PNR RH trilogy but I definitely didn't want it to end. I will say the issues I saw in book 2 was better managed in book 3. There were some issues with flow/jerky transitions, but definitely not as many as book 2 had (which is why I could up it to a five stars instead of four). We had so much action, steam, and romance, all gamuts of the emotional rainbow. I fell for more of the guys in this one, I loved each of them in their own way. I loved that Piper pushed them and wouldn't let them own her. The pack politics and the battles were intriguing, but I loved the slivers of darkness we got as a result of the witches. The creatures the wolves have to battle, I could imagine them while listening, which is always a testament to fabulous writing.
I won't give anything away in this one, but know that if you enjoyed the previous books you won't be disappointed in book 3! Maddie is gonna be fierce (and loved her vulnerability and her connection with Kai). I also loved how the alphas re-bonded and seemed to be ok for the future. Also thought it was a good job with the groups had been split up, we got guys from both packs so they saw the other in a new light, working together to protect the loved ones they lost after the big confrontation. I also liked some of the other wolves, interested to see if they show up in other books. Enjoyed the shifter aspect and the magic aspect of the storyline. Really well done and I again, didnt want it to end ❤️
Same comments for the narration as the previous books, that the female narrator was superb at 1.4-1.5X speed, and the male narrator was good but his breathing again became a nuisance and I was dreading the POV changing too much. Will still give him another chance but the female narrator was already on my one-click narrator list and she will clearly stay there!
Sad it's over but happy to see more from world!
