Publisher's summary

It's great to be alive, but being a wanted man sucks.

This ain't no spaghetti Western. Cam and company are running for their lives with a UN superteam hot on their heels...not to mention one very pissed-off fae. With Lilith injured, and the UN closing in, there is only one person that can save them: Lilith's mom. Not only does Cam need to figure out how to impress a millennia-old succubus, but he's also got to figure out what to get the women in his life for Christmas. His problems are only going to get worse from there.

Courts and Cabals 2 contains adult situations and supernatural creatures that generally treat humans like s#!t. It's intended for a mature audience.

Better Than the First Book!

OVERALL: The fun continues with this second volume. The plot lines are fleshed out and the characters are coming into their own.

PERFORMANCE: Jay Adler did his best but some of his female characters conjured images of women with five o'clock shadow and Old Spice. Still, that wasn't enough to put me off from enjoying the book.

RECOMMENDATION: If you liked the first one then you will definitely like the second one.

good bones and writing but not for me.

usually dont write reviews. liked the story a lot hut too much inner monologue and the main character is just constantly getting his butt kicked. He doesn't have to be OP but half the book is him getting pummeled with no cathartic retribution. lame

great 2nd entry for the series

this book and narration was excellent. I do wish that there was a female narrator for the women, but he does a good job and the personality really comes out of the characters.

The Rollercoaster keeps going!!

Cam and company are in a tight spot, what with the Fae and the government looking for him. His only hope is his succubus’ mom and it’ll be hell on wheels getting to her.

I recommend it

okay so here we are at the end of book 2 and I got to say that the narrator change didn't bother me at all. I think it's going to do a fantastic job with the rest of the series or if it turns out to be a Trilogy is perfectly okay. my personal feelings about the story is the MC is till on the weak whiny side. to be fair if this is going to be like a 10 book serious and it's kind of a Slow Burn then it's perfectly okay but if this turns out to be a trilogy it's not that great where it is by the end of the story. that being said did you get some answers by the end of the book to some of the big questions. the ending makes it very clear that the story is not over ordering on a cliffhanger but not as bad as some Cliffhangers. as of the time of this review the third book is already out in ebook format and the audio version that will be out I Believe by the end of the month.

Good continuation of the series

This is a continuation of the series and picks up right where the last one ended. Fortunately there wasn't a lot of lag time between one book and the other but cliff hanger endings get old and tiresome very quick.
There's lots of action more world building and more interesting situations for our characters. It is easier to see the bonds between Cam and his harem build especially between Lilith and himself. The mystery of Cam's background builds and there is a reveal at the end. Nevertheless there are also more mysteries to explore.
It was a good listen.

Stupid fun

It's a fun sequel filled with an irreverent youth that is basically a wimp and strong women who save his ass constantly. Explicit scenes and lots of ham fisted pop culture references. Enjoy!

stupid character and terrible narrator

the main character is so dumb he may as well be a rock. there is enough swearing it is like some teenager thought it would make it feel "more adult" and either the narrator can't pronounce satyr or the writer can't spell it. I can now say all 5 star reviews are more than likely fake after listening to the first book WITH A DIFFERENT NARRATOR who was much better and this pile of cuss and pornographic shit
