Perfectly done

I was so excited to listen to this one! I love the story so much. Nate was the perfect voice for this. I loved how the differences between the characters voices were done. Now I can't wait for book two!

The world that K.M built for this story was great

Nate Homolka is a new to me narrator. He did a really good job of telling this story through his voice. I experienced this book all over again listening to the audiobook.

This book is a new revised version of a previously published book, Gold in Darkness. It is better than the original book. You have probably discovered author, K.M. from her dark romance books. This book is different from the other books she writes. I do like this fantasy vibe and Anwynn brings the spice.

The romantic entanglement that transpired between Milana and Anwynn is a slow burn one. I do like this as it made the relationship between them more believable. So that when they did share those "scenes", they were that much better.

The world that K.M built for this story was great. I was so engaged in this story that I found myself reading chapters at a time. I can't wait to read book two.

Fantasy at its finest!

KM Mixon’s writing paired with the narration by Nate was a match made in fantasy heaven. Nate brought all these characters to life! I’ve read this book before but getting to listen to it was like listening to a whole new story and like being immersed in Milana and Anwyn’s world.

What a wrong brought to life!

I read this book when it came out, but listening to it brought it to a whole new level. The narrator did an amazing job voicing the different characters, and audio for fantasy is such an experience with all the names, places, and language.

I love this take on apocalypse meets fantasy. The female main character going from weak and helpless to something so much more and the men 😮‍💨😮‍💨 the set up for what’s to come, I can’t wait!
