Love the men of KPD SWAT!
This is Michael and Nikki’s story. We know from prior books that these two have chemistry but something was in the way of their happily ever after...now we learn the reason and root for their HEA

too heavy on writers beliefs
I have been reading this series. There have been hints of the writers political views and beliefs throughout the series. I totally support our officers I like the series, but the constant heavy-handedness Have the writers views came to a head in this book. Heavy pro-life language and scenes where she espoused how she feels about life and when life is conceived even going so far as the detail and abortion was too much. I read a book to escape to a fantasy land. I watch the news I read I'm educated I don't need my romance novel to preach to me about their political beliefs. And as always those political beliefs are simplified. Regardless my romance novels is where I want to escape & find peace.This will be my last and final book from this author.

Political views
I could have enjoyed the book more without all of the political views present. The story was great other than the politics. I almost quit listening to it.
