Publisher's summary

Esmae Grace Williams has settled into life in the country quite well. She has found contentment and happiness in the small town of Meadow Creek.

After having her heart broken and swearing off men, Esmae has decided to date once again. The problem is, which guy should she choose? She is attracted not only to the caring veterinarian but also to the next-door neighbor who seems to have a habit of coming to her rescue.

Esmae is finally ready to move forward. That is, until Brooklyn arrives in town. Who is this Southern Belle? Quickly, Esmae discovers that her dating plans may all come to a screeching halt. Now, Esmae wonders if she will find the man of her dreams—or will she end up all alone?

Esmae finds the Man of her Dreams!

We are back in the Country with Esmae, who is still dating Trenton and Dawson, while trying to figure out who is the right guy for her.  She is having fun with both them, while feeling bad dating them both.  Trenton hires a new woman at the Vet’s office named Brooklyn, who is a big flirt, and Esmae is not happy about this.  Esmae knows she has to make a decision as to who she wants to be with, and it is fun watching her try to figure it out.  It gets a little dicey with some misunderstanding and communication issues, but she finally makes her decision, which I think was a good one.
This was another fun and sweet listen and I really enjoyed the narrator.  I am looking forward to the next book to see how this relationship progresses.

just had nothing to offer

the narration was terrible. there's no emotion in the voices, and no voice alteration to distinguish between male or female characters, or description versus narrative. it was the usual, overused storyline of girl chooses between two guys, misunderstanding happens and they all get mad because nobody speaks to each to get the facts. then they talk, she picks one, they live happily ever after. the description of the woman as always being the most gorgeous, most beautiful woman in the world and the guys being described as the most hot and sexy man ever, was used so many times I got tired of hearing it. and to be told that Esmae handled the farm all by herself while dating every night /day and going to all kinds of social functions during the day, was rather insulting to the reader. one person could not have handled all that. sorry, it was just a bad story
