In 1948 the Crow Tribal Council appointed Joseph Medicine Crow (now called High Bird) their Tribal Historian and Anthropologist.

Delightful!

This short book is one of the best I’ve ever listened to. (I read/listen to about 20 books a month).
Narration, content, stories, history — all present and all good.
Any time you want a two-hour listen that will give you both pleasure and information. So good!!!

I'm from MT and lived in that area for several years as a child. Hearing the story of Crow people brought back a flurry of memories.

wonderful story and narrator

I only wish it was longer. Something about listening to an author narrate his own story makes it so much better. The stories were great and a peek into a world, culture, and traditions I know little to nothing about.
