I really wanted to love this but Alexis was annoying. The “I love you but will betray you” was obnoxious. She was selfish and a brat. I want to get to book 3 but not sure I can do it…

Hate Accents
Story line is pretty on par for Mafia romance but the accents are a bit cheesy to me. Otherwise I will listen to another book by the author.

Disappointing
I can’t stand Gabriel. There isn’t one redeeming quality about him. He is butt hurt about Alexis digging for answers, when the only reason she had to was because he lied. Seriously, it’s her dad. And, Alexis never read him the riot act for the double standard. He just kept harping on it. How do you fall in love with such a cold person. 99% of the time he ignores her, except for when he goes to her room in the night for sex. Speaking of the sex…what is it with using her name instead of pronouns. Like seriously, we know who you are talking about. No need to keep using her name.
