Amusing character-driven mystery

This was a complex retired spy caper, not particularly original, but it had its moments. The characters are just short of cartoon, sometimes amusing, sometimes verging on tedious. I may or may not go for the next in the series.

The narrator was excellent.

I liked the lead up to the murderr, and the quick resolution. This cozy is character-driven.

The narrator does a fantastic job. I love his voices for each character. He makes it fun. The story and characters were great.

I liked the book.

I had to get use to the narrator but he was okay once I did.

Tension was kept right through the book.

The story had a surprising end. many twists and turns. Endearing characters. I enjoyed the book.
