Recently, the company has been scrutinized by the media over its firing of a young employee who had written a paper about its diversity policies. This booklet will analyze the concept of diversity politics in corporate America. As a young executive, working for a major corporation, I observed the issue of diversity as it played out during the ‘70s and into the new century. I’d like to offer this perspective to help us understand what I have come to call Corporate Fear in America and how it has developed over those decades.
