The World According to Dirty Dawg
What did you love best about Conversations with My Dog?
OMG! This book is hilarious! I just loved how Mr. Ziglar and Dirty Dawg (you gotta spell it how you say it!) just had all these conversations with each other as if they were just two human guys yackin' it up. I know Mr. Ziglar's work in motivational speaking, and had the privilege to hear him in person a few years ago. Every conversation was a life story and life lesson that was delivered in such a fun and heartfelt way.
What other book might you compare Conversations with My Dog to and why?
I would compare this book to several really important books in my life, such as the Bible, for sure! Also, most of my psychology text books and military leadership books. For obvious reasons, these books parallel Conversations with My Dog to the tee.
What does Zig Ziglar bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
OMG HIS VOICE! There's reading and then there's Mr. Ziglar reading! That drawl of his- and of Dirty Dawg's- really added flavor and life to the whole book. I could listen to him forever. He really does wound like that in person, so it was extra great for me to listen to him. IF you want to read this book, LISTEN to it instead!
What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?
I will remember all of them. Each chapter and conversation was about a different life lesson, and I wrote down all of them to use in my life.
