Conversations with Joe presents the edited highlights of Vice President Joe Biden’s 29 city US tour, in which he speaks candidly about his son Beau’s remarkable life and the hope and purpose the Biden family found in carrying on Beau’s work after he lost his battle with brain cancer. The conversations feature a kaleidoscopic assortment of American leaders, artists, performers and writers - including Man Booker Prize-winning author George Saunders, late night talk-show host Stephen Colbert, television actress Constance Wu, philanthropist Melinda Gates, Tony-winning Hamilton costar Leslie Odom Jr., and Oscar-winning screenwriter Aaron Sorkin. These compelling, off-the-cuff conversations are designed to amplify Biden’s powerful message of unity and promise in heartfelt and entertaining fashion for Audible listeners.

This is a collection of interviews with Joe Biden. The introduction is by MSNBC’s Mike Barnicke. A sample of some of the interviewers are: Jenna Bush Hager, Al Roker, Melinda Gates and Janet Napolitano. These interviews took place after the publication of his book about the death of his son, Beau. This book is interesting and Biden is a natural storyteller. This is a good book to read as Biden may decide to run for president. Through these interviews one gets to know Biden a bit better both as a person and a politician.

The book is five hours and twenty-two minutes. Biden does a good job narrating the book.

Since this is a collection of excerpts from about 25 interviews and talks given as part of his book tour, the questions and answers are repeated ad nauseum. While the attendees of the events are hearing them for the first time the reader (or listener) of the book is hearing the same thing rehashed time after time. I would rather the editing hadn't been so severe. I would have rather heard longer excerpts from fewer interviews, then the painfully short, infinitely repetitive ones selected here. Just read the book "Promise me, Dad" instead.

Great - but too much repetition of same stories

With regularly negative reports re POTUS and now Kavanaugh in the USSC, this was REASSURING!

AFFIRMED AND MAGNIFIED MY RESPECT FOR HIM
