Publisher's Summary

Have you always wanted to learn how to speak Dutch but simply didn’t have the time?

Well if so, then, look no further. You can hold in your hands one of the most advanced and revolutionary methods that was ever designed for quickly becoming conversational in a language. In creating this time-saving program, master linguist Yatir Nitzany spent years examining the 27 most common languages in the world and distilling from them the 350 words that are most likely to be used in real conversations. These 350 words were chosen in such a way that they were structurally interrelated and, when combined, form sentences. Through various other discoveries about how real conversations work - discoveries that are detailed further in this book - Nitzany created the necessary tools for linking these words together in a specific way so that you may become rapidly and almost effortlessly conversant - now.

If your desire is to learn complicated grammatical rules or to speak perfectly proper and precise Dutch, this book is not for you. However, if you need to actually hold a conversation while on a trip to the Netherlands, to impress that certain someone, or to be able to speak with your grandfather or grandmother as soon as possible, then the Nitzany Method is what you have been looking for. This method is designed for fluency in a foreign language while communicating in the present tense. Nitzany believes that what’s most important is actually being able to understand and be understood by another human being right away. More formalized training in grammar rules, etc., can come later.

This is one of the several in a series of instructional language guides. The Nitzany Method’s revolutionary approach is the only one in the world that uses its unique language technology to actually enable you to speak and understand native speakers in the shortest amount of time possible.

Positive experience

Since I am Dutch and was very impressed by this book, I decided to purchase one for my fiancé as she is coming to Holland in a few months to spend the summer with me. I feel this will be extremely helpful as it is so simple and she will at least be able to make herself understood.

For anyone wishing to learn Dutch I would thoroughly recommend this system.

Thank you

Great book and the best way to learn how to speak another language and to be honest about it I fell in love with this book after listening. To it similar to Conversational French.

Marvelous

This is good. I got the Lebanese and I decided to pick this one up as well since Dutch is a language that I wanted to learn for a while. I showed this to my previous Dutch tutor and she told me this is great and she will use the content from this in her Dutch lessons.

Too fast

The pronouncing is clear and word collection is very good but each Dutch word is mentioned once and speed of lessons are too fast.

Not for me

Positive: yes, you need to know certain amount of words to be able to communicate. Book says 350, I am saying 1000 +.
Negatives: you have to first memorise words from pdf, after that you will hear them once with english translation. What follows are "clumsy sentences" (according to the autor) many of it you will never need in your life :(.
First 4 chapters are explaining the method as I described above.
Overall: not for me, I actually want to learn from audiobook. Or maybe I am just too spoiled by Paul Noble.

Really laughable

The book seems to spend an inordinate of time justifying it's existence, makes very big claims for itself and then at the end tells you to take a Dutch class.

The narrator has a pleasant voice but a poor grasp of English pronunciation for a Dutch lady.

Get Michel Thomas, Pimsleur, Innovative even, but this course is a joke.
