Orphaned and alone on a dying planet, Evie prayed for rescue. When a ship crash-landed on the planet, it seemed as though her prayers had been answered. But aboard the Space Ark, she is an outsider, a child of criminals, and suspected of murder. Can she clear her name and escape the curse of her birth?

Absolutely loves Evie and Adam. Can’t wait for the next adventure.
Would love to be able to go so far in to the future and see other worlds. I’d go for the cryo sleep. I don’t want to give anything away but I want to know more about the area with the waterfall. I want to know more about the religious cult…. So much more ready to happen.
Narration by Heather Costa was exceptional.

C. J. Boyle has written an intriguing story of Evie who lives alone on a world without others and how she copes with it and her own health issues and more. Marooned there with her parents who have since died has made her self reliant yet wishing for company. Into this aloneness drops Adam and she fights her own problems to keep him alive. There is then much more and other characters adding more suspense to the story. Boyle knows how to weave an intricate story of suspense, romance, and interesting fun with a use of science fiction and science facts that add legitimacy to the telling without getting in the way of the characters and action taken. She is an artist with words. The narrator is excellent also and really drew me in with her pacing and voicing the various characters. The book has a valid conclusion yet leaves me wanting more. Good to know that there is a book two of this series and I look forward to it.

It was a pretty good story. It had a few twists that I wasn’t expecting. Evie seemed a little wimpy but it was understandable considering she had lived on her own for a decade. There was very little erotica, very brief. Ms. Costa performed rapidly which I resolve by just turning the speed down a little bit. I’ll probably continue with the series.

Pretty good
