Acerca de esta escucha
Driving while impaired lights a match and threatens to set your life on fire. The legal, financial, and physical consequences of a DWI leave many people struggling to put out that fire.
In Consequences and Compassion: Lessons from the Frontlines of Drunk, Drugged, and Distracted Driving, LaDonna Claude shares real stories about people with DWIs.
The consequences of a DWI have legal and emotional impacts that most people neglect to understand. As an instructor at Funny Bone Defensive Driving, she has frequently met people at their low points. No matter their driving offense, LaDonna acts as an instructor, motivational speaker, and counselor to students struggling with their post-DWI lives.
Consequences and Compassion is a careful examination of all the reasons to not light a DWI match in your life. LaDonna’s insights from years of teaching defensive driving will not only shed light on the dangers of driving while impaired, but inspire you to embrace responsibility in your own life.

Powerful Content with Outstanding Narration
I want to share my experience with both the written and audio versions of "Consequences and Compassion." While the content itself is invaluable, the audiobook brings an extra dimension through Chante McCormick's excellent narration.
McCormick's voice brings warmth and understanding to this challenging topic. Her tone and inflection are spot-on, making complex legal and personal advice easy to digest. I typically listen to my audiobooks at 1.3 to 1.5 speed, and McCormick's narration remained clear and engaging even at these faster speeds.
The content itself is a comprehensive guide for anyone dealing with a DWI, offering both practical advice and emotional support. Whether you're facing this challenge personally or supporting someone who is, Claude's compassionate approach and McCormick's engaging narration make this difficult subject matter more approachable.
This audiobook isn't just about consequences - it's about understanding, growth and prevention. It's one of my better Audible listens, both in terms of content and narration quality. The combination of Claude's insightful writing and McCormick's skillful delivery makes this a standout addition to my audio library.
