Publisher's summary

When 31-year-old Markos Turloch is murdered in a heinous manner by his boss, Bobbi Nox, as revenge for whistle-blowing on his employer, he loses his humanity and is reincarnated as a diamond-like dungeon core in another world.

After discovering and exploiting a dungeon-breaking cheat, Markos maxes out his dungeon level and begins to explore the world above his dungeon.

When his dungeon helper, Jessica, comes across a dying young man being sexually tormented by a female ogre, Markos' decision to save his life becomes the turning point in Markos' new existence. Upon learning the truth of this new world as one where females dominate in both numbers and social status, Markos settles on a new goal: to conquer the land of Enwald and reassert male dominance as its king!

Markos' first target of conquest is the kingdom of Vessar, where his dungeon is located. Borrowing the body of Sibalt, the young man he saved, Markos journeys across the kingdom in search of information, allies, and companions to help achieve his goal to conquer the kingdom.

Conquest is the first audiobook in the Dungeon Core Gambit series. It is a dark harem fantasy built on the twin pillars of GameLit and Dungeon Core elements. Inspired by Ooku: The Inner Chambers and How to Build a Dungeon: Book of the Demon King, Conquest will appeal to fans of both Japanese manga series.

Warning: This audiobook contains profanities and numerous mature situations involving sex and violence. In particular, the opening chapter depicts the violent murder of the main character. Furthermore, there are numerous explicit sex scenes as well as the enslavement of the MC's enemies. Listener discretion is advised.

I liked it over all.

Only complaint I have is the mistaken pronunciation of liche. of the than that it's good and worth a listen.

the Hair Formula do we need it or not

if you look at what I've given this buy the Stars it doesn't reflect what this book shows of this author because the author shows that they could become one of the best Dungeon core authors out there and that's saying something this book shows amazing I know how to do make a plot a story that's compelling unfortunately with this story The Harem it is not needed and it's a negative for the story because it slows it down and gets in the way of the genius of this author hopefully this author we'll go back to the drawing board Jenison hair on part of it and show this author can play in the same level such greats the Divine dungeon serious or a the princesses slime

Poor man's Overlord

This isn't some masterpiece that everyone has to read it's a decent book with a similar premise to overlord and the first few chapters are a bit similar to "that time I got reincarnated as a slime". overall decent nothing to terrible

good start to a dungeon core series

I enjoyed the interactions the MC has with the characters and world structure he finds himself in. the one thing I had a hard time with was the weak dungeon layout. The build of the dungeon is understandable with the restrictions that the world places on the dungeons but the rooms are leaning a bit towards the lame side of the scale.

Narration was flat and somewhat boring.

The narrator's voice was flat and unenthusiastic. (spelling). The writing style felt like the author needed to research more prior to release.

I enjoyed it.

It is fairly typical of the genre. I didn't have any problems finishing the book. The narrator need a bit more energy but I had no major problems with the performance. I would definitely read a sequel.

Good entry into Dungeon Core genre

This wasn't a totally unique take, but it was done well and very entertaining. It did have one unique aspect that pushed me to five stars. The hive mind aspect was fun and entertaining. I'll definitely get the next installment.

A fun one.

Great story, fun characters. I just feel like power is added arbitrarily to push the story rather then earned.

Better than meh

The book isn't bad but it's kinda bland. It lacks suspense. That said it's unlike other dungeon core books in that nobody enters the dungeon for the first ¾ of the book. The performance is excellent.
