Powerful!
If you want to reprogram your brain and change the tape player in your head, get this book.
I'm not spiritual or into woo woo stuff, so I was completely taken aback with the incredible changes this book helped me make to my life and thoughts.
After going through a difficult time, I am working to use neuroplasticity to my advantage. Neuroplasticity refers to the fact that we can 'reprogram' our brains by changing our thought patterns. Each time we reinforce something, our brain sticks on it harder, coming back to it over and over again, especially in times of stress.
If we change that self-talk, though practice, we're changing what our brain focuses on, and in a sense reprogramming it. Those neural connections get strengthened and the old negative patterns we're replacing weaken.
This book is setup to do that. It is full of "I" statements, so when you read it to yourself you are claiming the thought pattern as your new pattern, and addressing how you see yourself. The quotes are concise and perfect in length.
Overall this program is fantastic, especially if you're working to change a lifetime of negative self-talk, perfectionism, depression, or stress from things like PTSD.
I tried a bunch of programs for this purpose, but none of the others are very helpful. There are others with Louise Hay quotes but none of them come close to these, either for the quotes included or for the design elements. This audiobook is professionally done, and a joy to interact with.
This is the one to spend your money on!
