I Feel What I Am Supposed To

I really like this book because the author did a great job with the development of the protagonist and didn't rush it but also didn't make it boring. and even though this falls in the harem trope it doesn't not fail to get you in the feels for each one. I was saddened by the fairies plight. This book does a good job at mixing gamelit, midevil, and fantasy all into one.

Give this a listen. It is worth the credit and you will not be disappointed when you spend the next two to finish the story.

Slow start but finishes strong

I have listened to over 400 titles in audiobooks and almost all are in the fantasy novels. I injoied this one but it took me a while to get through it. So if you start this book you have to get through the 1st start up or build-up of this book, which is the hardest part, but once you do it's action packed and has a non stop can't put the book down feel to it it's great! Can't wait for the next book to come out I'm super excited to see what happens next. Totally worth the credit.

I hav never spent an entire day listening to an audio book but I just did and i don't consider it a waste of time.

One of the better written harem themed book

As I mentioned in the title this is a well written book. The use of the Conquer game is an interesting twist I have not seen.

Also, the book is PG-13 all of the sex scenes are fade to black. Mostly, and there are not a lot. So depending on what you are looking for this may be a positive or a negative.

My only issues with it is it hit way to many fantasy tropes.

I’m glad the MC is not the bumbling fool who wonders into a bunch of hot women. However, he is your typical altruistic self righteous Purveyor of justice. The MC honestly left me sighing and face palming. He would literally make a situation worse because of some personal moral belief that is narrow to begin with. I think I have read to many books and have become jaded.

Wasn’t to bad

Reminds me of gladiator and Cheech and Chong that was when it lost me love the morals the mc shows and then it showed it’s cheech and Chong parts don’t mind the haram ideas like a good haram book till beliefs get in the way not sure if I’ll continue series

Not earned

I did not feel most of the "achievements" in this boom was well earned. Even though it is a fantasy novel, to often, things fell more in place than was placed. No victory, relationship or goal was really fought for. Aron just gets it.

The reader was good though.

Fantasy Tale Gone Wrong

The over-arching story has a good premise, no, a great premise and ideally that is what makes a good read. However, it doesn't take very long to realize that if you want to know where this fantasy tale of wariors, wizards, and kings is going, you're going to have to muddle through some romance. Normally that is not necessarily a bad thing, but this author's idea of romance revolves solely around the physical aspects and are described in no uncertain graphic detail. In other words, the sex scenes are straight up porn.

The shame is, that if you remove all the porn, you're left with a great story and instead of ending in the middle of a battle game which the players are forced to participate in as a punishment, you could either combine this trilogy into one book or add enough relevant material to make it a worthy trilogy.

The performance was well done and I have to give high marks to Gary Furlong for bringing the best out of the work regardless of its tasteless and needless smut.
