Permission slip to own my confusion

I just finished listening to this book, and honestly… the way it found me feels like confirmation that I was meant to hear it now; The timing couldn’t have been more aligned with my current season📌.

Even though some of the cultural context was different from mine, I deeply related to Giovanna’s journey. The book felt like a gentle permission slip to own my confusion instead of fighting it, and to see it as a natural part of becoming rather than a personal failure. I loved that the tone was bubbly and light, but still hit home🤗

The book touches on many layers, primarily, career, identity, intuition, self-trust, boundaries, relationships, and learning to listen to your inner voice. So many of the practices she shared mirrored habits I’ve intuitively built over the years like decluttering, slow living, yoga and intentional pauses. Hearing them reflected back was affirming, like a reminder that I’ve already been listening to myself✨️.

Some moments hit especially close to home, particularly when she spoke about being so out of alignment career-wise that the question “What do you do?” became triggering😅. The shame, the guilt, the sense of being lost when expectations fall apart, and how much of that can tie back to parental wounds, that part stayed with me.

What I appreciated most is how gently the book invites acceptance🌻. Acceptance of where you are. Acceptance of confusion. Acceptance of becoming. It reframes comparison too, not as something that shrinks you, but as an invitation to witness what’s possible.

This book reminded me that being a “confused girl” doesn’t mean I’m failing. It means I’m surviving, recalibrating, and still showing up. And right now, that’s enough 🧡

A beautiful book and not just for girls!

OK, I'll admit; Giovanna is a friend of mine and I've been so excited to listen to her book. It's amazing! But it's NOT just for girls! There is a lot of very relatable content in this book. Things that apply to anyone living in these modern, confusing, challenging times. I'm not a parent, but if I were, I would absolutely encourage my kids to listen/read Giovanna's book when I felt the time was right. Her narration is really enjoyable too, and I find that, just as her book is, the authenticity in her story and her voice rings through.
