Perfect Sweet RomCom

Had me laughing out loud from the beginning and then later had me tearing up at times. LOVED IT. Will definitely be a repeat listen.❤️

Must read for RomCom fans! All the Feels and Fun!

I've been eyeing this series since the first book was released. But with life and other books already on my reading schedule I kept putting it off. Until I got the audiobook of it and listened to it nonstop while I was cleaning and running errands and... I couldn't get enough of Ben and Brooke! I loved the two narrators who voiced Brooke and Ben! They were delightful and helped add to the fun and charm of this delightful book!!!

I started my reading with book #3 and not with the first book. So I had no idea what to expect or anything about this family. If you're like me and haven't read the previous books, you can definitely read this as a standalone. It works great! But of course the second after I finished listening to this one, I needed more Johnson family in my life! I just adore them all so much! I quickly jumped onto my kindle and pulled up #.5 and devoured that one. Then jumped into #1 and devoured it as well! Can I just say happy, happy sigh! (#.5 isn't available on retailers until April or May-it is part of a promotion until March 31 for free.)

I seriously felt all the emotions with this one. Ben and Brooke have been skirting around each other for years. Finally coming to the point of being best friends. They do everything together. But what happens when friendship is no longer enough for one of them? And the other doesn't commit to anything more than a few dates? Lots of humorous moments and many deep soul searching moments and some hard conversations. Especially when once again Ben has another girl he's dating and sets Brooke up with said girl's brother... her mega rich, football star, down-to-earth, good looking, super kind brother who is completely interested in Brooke.

Can we say bring on the jealousy?!!! Hahaha!!! Oh, how I loved this wonderful story! I loved Brooke's family relationships. Their sibling texts and family texts. The chemistry. The wit and banter. The friendship. The learning to know who you are and facing your fears.

If you haven't read these and love sweet rom coms, do yourself a favor and dive in! I have book #2 left in my reading enjoyment but these will be ones I return to. And then I'm going to be excitedly awaiting what this wonderful author has to offer next!!!

Didn’t want it to end

I have loved all three books in this series. I laughed out loud so many times. So many times I read books & I literally roll my eyes & I just give up because it’s so annoying. I enjoyed this so much that I actually checked along the way hoping I wasn’t getting close to the end. I was having so much fun with these two. The narrators are great. When you can literally see what is happening in your mind then you know the writing is good and the narrators are delivering. They even give us the sarcasm and I love sarcasm. Andy Harrington is one of my favorites. In summary, did I mention I loved the book & the narration? Cause I did!

Pure Enjoyment!

I read this book on kindle as soon as it came out and it is one of my favorite books. It came out on Audible and I was lucky enough to win a copy through the newsletter of the author I subscribe to. I decided to dive right and I had so much fun! Even though I had read this recently, I laughed and smiled my way through this. This book is so good!

Narration: I have never listened to a book with a narration like this. At first it felt a little odd, but after I got used to it I absolutely loved it this way! Andy was my favorite voice for Ben! The awkward moments and his inner monologue was hilarious!

Blurb: friends to lover- Brooke loves Ben, but he will never marry. But what will happen when he sees her dating someone else? They had the sweetest friendship. The “meet cute”. The “eat cute”.

Content: my favorite- clean but with sizzle.

Fun and Sweet

This was a really sweet book. It was my least favorite in the series, but it was a fun read. The female narrator had a habit of ending every sentence with one of three different inflections which was a bit annoying, but the male narrator was really good. It was fun to see how each of the siblings ended up. I hope there are more books about this family.

Cute story without spice

Cute and funny story without the spice. Did seem to get a little long towards the end but wrapped up nicely.

All the stars for this sweet, contemporary Rom-Com

This was my favorite book in the rom"com" series. I loved the others but this one had that extra something special!

Friends to more can be a hit or miss trope for me sometimes. This one was done wonderfully! There was backstory in the beginning and tension throughout. I loved it!

As with the other books in the series, one of the highlights in the Johnson family. The game nights and text threads are so fun. I loved the Jerry McGuire movie references. The banter was top notch!

Again I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed that very much. The narrators read all dialog for the characters of their respective genders. That adds a unique element to the book.

That epilogue gets all the hearts and stars!

Another great book by Kortney Keisel!!!

I loved this book. I read the book and when I was able to get the audiobook I had to give it a listen too. It’s just as good the second time. I love the story. If you like friends to lovers it’s a must read. I liked getting to see how they become friends. Loved their meet-cute. I’m not usually one for friends to lovers but in this story it actually made sense to me why they weren’t together yet. You fall in love with all the characters. I absolutely adore Bens relationship with Brooke’s mom. The two Narrators are great as well. They do a good job in bringing to life the characters and the story. This is a book for my favorites list. I could definitely read this again every now and Ben. Perfect if you want a good rom-com. It will have you cracking up laughing and swooning the whole time. It’s swoony but closed-door. Kortney Keisel has quickly become an auto-buy author for me. Do yourself a favor and buy this book.
