Divine information

So much information and I enjoyed hearing book in dimitris voice. Hope to listen to again and again. Guidelines to actually help connect with the divine.

Hierarchy of the spiritual world for beginners

Basically, I learned quite a bit. The book gives an understanding of the levels of the spiritual world, the names and roles of the entities (angels, archangels), and is presented in a very organized fashion.

Each section ends with a prayer which also summarizes the chapter. I found that very useful and as I go through the book again will use the prayers for my meditations.

I will definitely listen to this book again with a notebook and pen to take notes. There is so much info here and I will have to listen to this when I'm not driving to fully take it all in.

Reconnecting with God

I struggle with organized religion and it wasn’t that I didn’t believe in God it was trying to figure out who God is and this book really helped me to connect with God.
100% recommend this book to anyone who is questioning their faith in God!

A Mixed Review

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

For several reasons I think I'd have preferred an old fashioned hard copy version of this book. First of all, the information is so dense, the lists of the divine hierarchies so long and detailed, that I got muddled and overwhelmed after a while. It's easier to repeat and refer back to sections in actual physical form. For the second reason, see below. I would not recommend the audio version.

Would you recommend Communing with the Divine to your friends? Why or why not?

I would recommend the book in general to friends. In the reading I have done on this subject matter so far, which is extensive but not exhaustive, this seems like one of the most comprehensive books.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Sometimes it's tricky when authors narrate their own work. I actually really liked the tone of his voice, and found his delivery flowed fairly well and was expressive. However, he is a lazy enunciator, and consistenty pronounced hierarchy "hiarchy", duty "doody" and even prostrate "prostate". This really bothered me.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Yes; it would be interesting to see visual interpretations of the material.

Absolutely! I'm on my second listen now. Dimitri Moraitis is a wonderful narrator.

What did you like best about this story?

I am new to the work of Barbara Y Martin and Dimitri Moraitis. This is a well-written description of the Spiritual realm for those of us who are not (yet) clairvoyant and wish to know more about how it all works.

Which scene was your favorite?

Maybe it's me, but their illuminating explanation of the Spiritual hierarchy is something I've never heard.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes

A comprehensive overview of the heavenly realms from the author's viewpoint and experience.

It was a very interesting book overall. However I was constantly wondering or questioning HOW the author has such a comprehensive and detailed description of all of aspects and personifications of the heavenly hosts. It is not that I do not believe wholeheartedly in God and in all of the power of the heavenly hosts in the angelic realm - I DO - completely and with all of my being. I just wonder how SHE has categorized this vast and humanly incomprehensible realm in such self-affirming detail. I do not doubt nor affirm her claims, as she is merely sharing her deep personal experience and life's story. I pray for her and for all of us that are on the spiritual path for the Truth to reveal itself in a deeply profound and personal way and for the Transformative Light of God to shine forth in and among us all.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This incredibly special book lays out a stunning map of the spiritual taxonomy of the universe and our journey of growth through the spiritual hierarchy. A recent conversation with a friend led me to agree to learn more about Archangels and their ability to guide us through overwhelming personal challenge. What I found in the book is a clearly written text sharing in-depth teachings on the continuum of links between us and God, as conveyed and connected through divine light. The challenge for the uninitiated reader is to suspend disbelief and take in the explanation of the full picture the authors present; it is extremely moving. Though Barbara's upbringing was Christian, the book is completely non-denominational, which prevents it from alienating a non-Christian listener (like me) and helps it resound with what feels like ancient, unadulterated truth. Communing with the Divine has helped reframe the way that I understand my life experience and proven an unexpected source of immense comfort and peace. I have listened to it many times over the past few months, very unusual for me, and it has given me a kind of emotional traction for facing bigger challenges.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Communing with the Divine?

Barbara and Dimitri share scripted meditations for invoking the help and guidance of Archangels and other divine entities and explain exactly how to use them. This is an immensely generous and loving gift. These meditations immediately deliver energy and guidance. A rare discovery and experience.

Good book, but almost too much information

Where does Communing with the Divine rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of the better books on this subject. Contains a lot of information that I had not read before.

What about Dimitri Moraitis’s performance did you like?

The performance was professional and easy to listen to.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This was the most detailed book on angels that I have read, and almost too much information to retain. Although very interesting, it was extremely hard to comprehend the experiences the author described.
