Publisher's Summary

One dungeon floor down, but how many more to go?

Jay and company have survived the initial stages of the experiment. They have had to overcome everything from their dinner trying to eat them to murderous psychopaths trying to carve out a private fiefdom. Worse, they aren't even aware of the impact the dissent among the aliens running this experiment are having on them.

Now, all the survivors seem to want a piece of Jay, which when they are a bunch of hot girls, doesn't seem entirely bad. He just has to sort out who is trying to manipulate him and who wants to be on Team Jay - all the while, finding a way for humanity to survive.

Ok continuation

Narrators are great, as usual. Story is ok, though I am getting tired of the main character being a simp and the women's reactions are normal and yet at the same time completely out of left field. Half the time I feel like I am missing some part of a conversation to justify the level of misunderstanding and obliviousness of everyone. In the end i feel like the author is pushing the interactions in an extreme way to shove Jay in a box of "emotionally damaged and exploitable/oblivious simp". Still going to try the next book but really hoping the characters grow a lot more and Jay mans the hell up.

Excellent 2nd book!

Great story progression, I truly enjoyed the pacing of the story. The characters are dynamic and diverse and the narration is top notch! A wonderful story and a wonderful experience.

Mc is just awful

The level of idiocy displayed by the mc is beginning to become unbearable. his handling of his relationships and decisions regarding the brainwashing psychopath are unbelievably niave. then with the councils and elections in a life or death situation constantly letting the least capable make the decisions in a struggle for survival? come on man obviously every single person voting in a situation like this or even a council is ridiculous. there's a reason militaries are always strict hierarchies.

Seriously

The MC’s spend more time arguing with each other than actually in the dungeon. I couldn’t take it anymore and stopped listening.

its a romance not an action novel.

at every turn and during every scene transition you get pounded with angst and irrelevant dialog. it was ok in book one. and in book two it was so bad I only got to chapter 8. The actions are so disconnected from the main story arch I couldn't take it anymore.
oh, let's get emotionaly abused because you went to train came back in a fight for your life when attacked in a safe zone. and then breakdown about your dead mother and sister due to an auto accident and an abusive father. like what the $u"k does that have to do with the fact that you just got attacked by unknown monsters.

go see a therapist and write a book after. deal with your feelings of manipulation of the female gender some where else. it was a good base line but all that extra stuff. not good for me.

Too cringe for me

I knew what I was getting this book but there were far too many times where I was rolling my eyes at the main character

EDIT: MC is a little better by the end of the book

EDIT: I forced myself to finish the book. this is a personal preference. I am not a big fan of time travel for the simple fact. if you travel through time the way a lot of authors describe that means everything has already happened. life is predetermined. I find this annoying. again this is a personal preference. I prefer multiple dimensions. multiple timelines that do not intersect. multiple realities. just not predetermined timelines, if you don't worry about this or a weak minded MC you may enjoy this.

I don't know if I will be able to finish this.
in the first book the MC was a man with some emotional troubles, who doesn't have emotional troubles nowadays. he now has no decision making ability at all. literally has to ask to get out of bed, and has to apologize for everything.
don not get me wrong I am not saying the MC should beat his chest and drag the women around by there hair. I do however think the MC should be able to think and act on there own, otherwise what's the point?
Rebecca is five star
Daniel is just ok maybe two point five star

good second installment

I really enjoyed the second book of this series. after stumbling across the first one ive been waiting for this one and now find myself in the same predicament waiting for the 3rd. I like the take and melding of scifi/ isekai/ dungeon crawler/ harem. I enjoyed the growth of the mc even though he struggles to grasp his situation and acts like a boy scout. daniel and rebecca were great as always.

Worth the listen and the the story is great!

So worth the credit. The story is engaging and isn't too over the top. I love the characters. The author did a good job of making this into a good storyline.

Where folks are saying this MC is an idiot I don't get it. He grows into his situation, as any normal sane person would. Jay is learning to be himself and that doesn't happen overnight, not with all the stuff happening to him!

Harem is there, but it's not overwhelming.
