A Heartwarming Drama

As Connor returns to his hometown after numerous years, it feels different with his parents not being around and only his late mother's cat to keep him company, will he face a Christmas all alone? This story intertwines characters from a small town, trying to find true love and they all have secrets. The plot unravels over Christmas and New Year celebrations.

A nice easy going drama about life, love and romance. Quite emotional at times as you realise how true to life it is. Also it's very well narrated, Miller's calm story telling sets the mood nicely.

The Title is a Perfect Fit for this Story

Connor, the main character, comes home at a time when he's grieving his mom's recent death. He's also at a turning point with some life decisions. A friend of his, Alana, also comes home having left years earlier due to an unfortunate chain of events. There are more good characters Connor knows who weave their situations into this book. It's a warm story of love, sadness, hopes and happy endings. An enjoyable read.
