Loved It!

I love this series! The characters are so relatable. The chemistry is fantastic!

Teagan's story was a tougher road filled with more ups and downs than the prior books but it made you really feel her and understand her.

The narration was great! Ava was given a challenge here and she met it head on! Great job!

Fantastic! 5 Stars aren't enough!

I listened to the audio version of this book. It was my first Jenna Sutton book and I absolutely loved it! The story was a big brother's best friend trope.
The characters won't be leaving me anytime soon. For two people who are very wealthy (I'm not usually into the super rich), they were down to earth and so vulnerable that they totally invaded my heart. Sutton blended the large hulking football player with a man with a speech impediment that created Nick, a man who was so susceptible to the pain of other's making fun of him. Yet he was so strong. I'm not sure how Sutton did is successfully, but she did it in spades!
Teagan was just as vulnerable in her love for Nick. She hides her love for him to protect their friendship. It was really cute that she was extra clumsy when with him. Yes, they had some problems, but they were just perfect for each other.
I found this audio book to be totally delightful! The narration by Ava Lucas was totally incredible. I loved every minute of her performance. She has joined the list of my favorite narrators.
I was given a complimentary copy of this audio book. All thoughts are my own.

Riley O'Brien & Co Book Two

Riley O'Brien & Co Book Two.

Teagan O’Brien cannot stand Nick Priest. He broke her heart years ago, and now he is trying to get back into her good graces. When Teagan and Nick both lived in Boston, they were best friends. Each had romantic feelings for the other, but they didn't want to ruin their friendship if the feelings were one-sided. Teagan is determined to stay away from Nick now, but her brother has appointed her department to lead Nick's new job overseeing the family's museum.

If you're looking for a second chance romance with a little known disability and emotional gymnastics, this is the book for you!

Loved it. A real gem

Jenna Sutton is a relatively new author to me and I have no idea why that is. The narrator, Ava Lucas did a fabulous job of narrating the characters in a variety of voices and this absolutely enhanced my listening enjoyment. It is not often that I can comfortably listen to a woman portray a male character but Ava Lucas manages to pull the male voices off so well that I often forget it is not a man voicing these parts such is her diversity.
Oh how I loved Teagan O’Brien and Nick Priest, both separately and even more so together. There is just something about this pairing that I really loved and I found myself riveted to my listening device.
This was at times an emotional read as the author touched on some heartbreaking moments but throughout it all there was love and hope. I also admit that it brought me to tears and my heart broken for both Teagan and Nick.
This is a little gem and I cannot wait for more in this series.

Nick and Teegan!!!!

I absolutely love this series!!! Nick is such a wonderfully flawed character and has been so damaged because of his stutter!!! I love that Teegan doesn’t hear it. Jenna Sutton has created a wonderful set of characters and storylines that are heartwarming. I think she’s a wonderful writer!! And Ava Lucas is a voice I love listening to!

Do I recommend this book??? Without hesitation!!! Everyone needs to listen to this!

Coming Apart at the Seams is beauty personified.

Coming Apart at the Seams is beauty personified. Not because of the way it ends, but the detours it hits along the way. Nick and Teagan are not the definition of perfect. Beneath their glamourous lives and their burgeoning romance are some painful scabs, just waiting to be exposed. However, it's the imperfections that make them a perfect fit for each other. Lucas' voice carries a vulnerability that makes it easy to love these people, even in the most of unlovable moments. Sutton has written a sonnet that turns a beautiful tragedy into a happily ever after.

not your ordinary brother's bff to lovers story

Former NFL player, Nick Priest, is a man of few words...see he has a secret that he's successfully hidden for most of his life, including throughout his NFL career...he stutters. This secret has created a huge problem for Nick and the woman he loves. See, Nick has been in love with his best friend's younger sister for over a decade but he's always felt that he's not good enough because of his speech impairment. At first they were best friends, when Teagan moved to Boston for college and Nick was just starting in the NFL. The friendship was perfect until that one night...when Nick ran, literally and figuratively, right after. When Teagan went to him later to discuss, he told her that it was just sex and it didn't mean a thing. That was the end of that friendship. Now Nick is retired from the NFL and has been offered a position with Teagan's family's company, Riley O'Brien & Co. The kicker is that he will have to work closely with Teagan; can he make it work without his best friend learning of their past?
Teagan O'Brien has worked really hard to prove to her family, and to herself, that she is capable and worthy of working at her family's denim empire. She has long since buried the hurt caused by Nick all those years ago, that said, she has no desire to work with the man, but can't tell her brothers the reason...can Teagan work with the man who broker her heart? The man show still owns her heart?
Teagan and Nick will have to divulge their individual secrets and learn to forgive each other if they ever hope to love again.
Great story...I may/may not have shed some tears...it was that good! Ava Lucas did a marvelous job bringing each character to life. I look forward to reading/listening to more of the O'Brien stories.

Beautiful Story and Wonderful Narration!

This is the second book in the Riley O'Brien & Co Series. I love the story of Teagan and Nick. They are both such great characters. The story is filled with misunderstanding, and lack of communication, but also with funny and steamy scenes. This story is sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes hopeful, sometimes heartwarming. This is a beautiful love story and I loved it so much. The ending is heartwarming. I love the Epilogue. The narration is absolutely wonderful, and breathtaking. Ava Lucas has a very beautiful voice, and she also has a great male voice. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Very good Audible book and story.

This is a love story in which the characters face so many obstacles in an attempt to be together. By frequently going back in time the author helps us realize what these characters are facing. This story contains heart break, determination, lack of communication, a disability that isolates a person, sexy love scenes and most of all love.

I received this Audible book in exchange for an honest review. The narrator did a very good job. I was drawn into this book immediately and wanted Teagan and Nick to be together.

Second chances!

Second chances is something we all give. It's hard not to want to try again. But in this case, the second chance was not so freely given! Nick is a football player and is now playing for a team in Boston. His best friend's sister, Teagan lives there and they begin to hang out. Feelings change, things happen and these two end up apart. But why? Nick is a complicated character. He has a disability he hides well, but that does not aid in his confidence. Teagan has been hurt, but can she see past the pain? These two dance around each other, but communication which is key is their biggest issue! I loved this story, I could not stop listening. Jenna Sutton masterfully has written this story with compassion. Nick is a man of few words, but when he speaks, it's always meaningful. His mistakes are big, but he knows what he wants and perseveres to try and get it. Teagan is hurt and as a result has guarded her heart. Love is strong though, and the heart wants what it wants. Can these two work through and find their happily ever after? It's a journey you will want to take with them! With scenes including Quinn, Cal, Amelia and Ava Grace, you will feel at home and enjoy this story while sipping a bourbon!

The narration of this book is something that is key due to Nick's character. The choice of Ava Lucas is perfect. She not only can tell a story like no other, but her ability to make Nick's conversations intelligible, but the inference in the tone made you understand exactly what he wanted. It's like we are Teagan, and just the tone and emotion in one word conveys the entire conversation. I also love the continuity from book to book that Lucas brings. Each character from both Barreled Over and All the Right Places have the voices we have come to know as they enter this story. It makes listening a pleasure.

Another slow-burn gem

I enjoyed this one even more than the first book in the series. Teagan, who was a baddie in the first book, redeemed herself in this one, fully deserving her happily ever after. This was an epic story, following the couple through their dramatic relationship over many years. The high quality writing made the story zoom by.

Ava Lucas is one of the most talented narrators I’ve heard, easily navigating all the parts. She was especially good with the male characters. Excellent job!

It took a few stitches to fix this seam

Coming Apart at the Seams, by Jenna Sutton and narrated by one of my favorite narrators Eva Lucas was a heart warming story.
Two loving souls, one misunderstood because he hides behind an impediment, the other because she doesn’t understand why he keeps his distance, when she has on more than one occasion made it clear. It takes a tragedy and a whole lot of persuasion and courage for these two to finally get their true feelings out into the open, we get an HEA, and the O’Brien is growing.

Great Listen

Nick and Tegan has been dancing around each other for years. When they finally hook up, he screws up royally because he doesn't think he is worthy to be loved because of his impediment and father. Tegan has been through enough because of Nick and is finished. He must find a way to fight for their love through their past mistakes. Great emotional story. Great Narration

An emotional second chance romance

I liked this story better than the first in the series. It was a pretty emotional second chance romance. After having just a little glimpse of their complicated relationship in the first book I really looked forward to get to know Teagan and Nick better.
I wasn't disappointed. I liked what I learned about both of them. Nick's insecurities made me think about how hard it must be to live with the problems he faced. I deeply understood why Teagan felt heartbroken so much she couldn't be the same person anymore. I so wanted them to find their way. To finally open up about past and future. To show all their cards.
I'm glad they found their path to one another.
It was a lovely story and I enjoyed it very much.

Ava Lucas did an outstanding job with this narration. Again. Her ability to give life to the story and the characters within never cease to amaze me. I loved it.

Amazing second book in the series.

Teagan is the sister of the new ceo of the biggest blue jean company based out of San Francisco. She fell in love with her brothers best friend. Nick pushes her away thinking it is the best thing for them, but realistically it was his worst move ever. Will Teagan be able to open her heart again or will it be to much for a HEA. This book was an emotional roller coaster that I loved every moment. Amazing book Jenna Sutton, and always an amazing performance by Ava Lucas.

Good friends make better lovers

Teagan O’Brien, heiress to the Riley denim empire, in love with Nick Priest, a really handsome football star, womanizer and her brothers best friend. She’s smart, works hard and can hold her own. She wanted to go from friends to lovers, but Nick doesn't want to break the "best friends rule" - thou shall not sleep with the best friends sister.....until it he did and left her heartbroken.

Nick comes from a broken past and with his good looks, can have any woman he wants and usually does, but he has low self esteem and wants Teagan. The two have off the charts sexual chemistry, but each of their insecurities keep them paralyzed.

I loved this fun book, and Ava Lucas did an amazing job narrating the ups and downs of this story. If I had to give it a con, I wonder why the story title was called "Coming apart at the seams" otherwise a really fun read.

More Riley O’Brien Drama! Awesome Story & Listen🎧

Another great “Riley O’Brien & Co.” book! I enjoyed the 1st book immensely and loved this one even more. This is Teagan and Nick’s story, a friends to lovers, 2nd chance romance. I liked these two characters each are smart, strong willed and their own worst enemies when it comes to love with their own denial & angst keeping them apart. First Nick, then Teagan. The storylines are interesting and fast moving. It is an emotional rollercoaster with lots of drama, some laughs and some hot romance. I liked that the characters from the 1st book were apart of their story and while this could be enjoyed as a stand-alone but I highly recommend reading both. Jenna Sutton, thank you for another great story.

I listened to the Audible edition, Ava Lucas is a wonderful narrator and story teller. She performs the voices of all the character, brings them and their story to life from the pages to your ears. Thank you for another great listen!
