Good short!
I liked this short story. Very odd, yet enjoyable dynamics happening throughout. The characters surprised me which is def a good thing. I almost wanted more when it ended and wondered about what could have happened. Recommended!

My favorite holiday novella just got even better! KK released it in audiobook read by herself! I bought it the moment it came out, downloaded it and read it, well listened to it immediately. Loved it! Love the story and it was fun listening to Karin reading it. I still hold out hope that one day Mila and Tina's story will continue.

Beautiful story about moments conversation of life
I so loved this story. It is uniquely brilliant on helping us see there are so many ways we touch each other. The characters have real life conversations. They don't always agree but they find ways to comfort and encourage each other. Karin Kallmaker give a reading that touches the heart with a story that fills the soul.

For a romance , it was very intriguing. The thought process, of someone facing life and death on a daily basis, was most interesting. It's was something that really made you pause at what the out come of a decision.

Milla is home from the Middle East to surprise her Mother at Christmas. She’s pleased to meet an attractive woman and have a new friend. The future hold promise and is in her thoughts for the first time in years. A sweet holiday romance that is well written and performed. Recommend.

Very thought provoking. Great spirit of Christmas story. I can appreciate Tyna’s view on religion. I don’t think we should just follow along. I would like to see their story expanded. I love Karin Kallmaker’ work.

uplifting but deep
I enjoyed this novella, and listening to the author narrate. Fascinating to see the military mindset and lifestyle juxtaposed to that of a protestant minister. Some pithy endictment of organized religion, particularly current day catholicism. Mila and Lisa seemed real, despite the short word count.
