Publisher's summary

The eagerly awaited new audiobook from the Emmy-winning, Oscar-hosting, Daily Show-anchoring Jon Stewart - the man behind the mega seller America (The Book).

Where do we come from? Who created us? Why are we here? These questions have puzzled us since the dawn of time, but when it became apparent to Jon Stewart and the writers of The Daily Show that the world was about to end, they embarked on a massive mission to write a book that summed up the human race: What we looked like; what we accomplished; our achievements in society, government, religion, science and culture.

After two weeks of hard work, they had their book. Earth (The Book) is the definitive guide to our species. With their trademark wit, irreverence, and intelligence, Stewart and his team will posthumously answer all of life's most hard-hitting questions, completely unburdened by objectivity, journalistic integrity, or even accuracy.

True to form Stewart!

There is no better way to get your point across than to push it with a sarcasm stick, and Jon certainly knows how to do that. If you like The Daily Show, sorry, it has nothing to do with it. The book is a narrative for extraterrestial visitors which explains the pathetic state of our planet. Funny, sarcastic, sometimes a little over-the-top, but so true. Especially loved Cenac and Oliver's narrations.

Hilarious

Laughed out loud throughout! Plan on relistening many many times. And buying the physical book as well. What a riot!

Jon Oliver and pals very funny

sometimes text is too wordy. sometimes the speech is mumbling or too quiet, whispery, or tails off at the end where the punchline is. Jon Oliver s delivery is perfect as always. all and all I really enjoyed it. maybe I would have liked the actual book w pictures.

1st book ever got convinced me audible was awesome

If you could sum up The Daily Show with Jon Stewart Presents Earth (The Audiobook) in three words, what would they be?

Dry, Hilarious, Knowledgeable

Dry humour; facts mixed with satire about about people reacted to certain things; and surprisingly educating. I ended up looking up quite a few things that were mentioned in this book to find out more about it.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart Presents Earth (The Audiobook)?

The Future Alien Questions and the responses to the answers were pretty decent.

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

There are actually a bunch of narrator's and all of them are awesome

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

This book is not right for a film. It doesn't really have a story, but it meant to serve as a guide to future visiting Aliens for what humans' understanding of the world was, what we accomplished and how we managed to destroy ourselves.
I can't imagine a good movie coming from this book.

Any additional comments?

I've recommended this book to everyone of my friends. At under 4 hours long, its not exhausting and you can listen to it in sections.
This is a book I keep at all times on my device because it is always good to listen to if I ever get bored.
It was my 1st book with audible.com that i chose to get for my trial-run subscription, and it was the one that convinced me that this whole audio book thing could be pretty decent.

Very funny but delivered too fast

What did you love best about The Daily Show with Jon Stewart Presents Earth (The Audiobook)?

Very funny book. It has some great lines. I wish Jon would slow down so I can absorb more of the jokes.

A review of Earth for future species.

Sigourney Weaver, Jon Stewart and company present an encyclopedia style review of the earth. somewhat longer than the entry in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, this entry would be proud from the Encyclopedia Galactica. An enjoyable twisted little review of Earth's history.

Jon Stewart Rocks

Jon, Samantha, Wyatt, Jason and John certainly make this reading of The Daily Show book very enjoyable. I especially appreciated Segorney Weaver's interjection at the Title/subtitle points.
