Editorial Reviews

Though released in the 21st century, National Lampoon's Rules of the Road still matches the wit and zeal from their heyday. Collected here are a host of ludicrous and hilariously offensive country songs about the lonesome road and the off-color habits its travelers. Whether you were a long-time subscriber to the magazine, laughed through all their movies, or have yet to be formally introduced to the humor of National Lampoon, this record of trucker songs is sure to have you doubled over in laughter.

Publisher's Summary

National Lampoon's brilliant Rules of the Road brings together some of the best-loved songs of the highway, sung by the big-rigs of country music. It encompasses the full range of emotions felt on the lonesome road, from paranoid, closeted homo-erotica to jubilant, flamboyant homo-erotica, and all the textures in between.

Pass on this

This collection of gay themed truck driver songs is funny for about half a song. This is carrying a single joke way too far. An insult to the great tradition of National Lampoon.
