As a 17-year-old virgin working...for Virgin, Joel Dommett has grand ambitions. Firstly, he is going to swap suburbia for the bright lights of Showbiz. Secondly, he is going to find 'the one' - and sets himself the very achievable target of finding her in the first 50 people he's definitely going to sleep with.
What follows is a series of disastrous romantic encounters, including carpets mistaken for toilets, futile grand gestures and the catfishing to end all catfishing.
Featuring genuine teenage diary entries and told in Joel's trademark self-deprecating style, this is the brilliant first book from the UK's most exciting comedian.
Where does It's Not Me, It's Them rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
What other book might you compare It's Not Me, It's Them to, and why?

I have read nearly 300 books and only two have left me compelled to write brief review.
After two weeks of work and life stress resulting in a very grumpy old mare I bought this book as I love Joel on telly and it truly cheered me up.
Joel has managed with this book to take the reader on a nostalgic journey filled with charming and at times moving tales that anyone could have experienced.
I clearly have no idea how to write a review but trust me when i say it is just a light, funny, funny book.
Joel, thank you on behalf of me children for jolting their mum out of a funk.
Congratulations on finding the one and sharing the love. xx

I really love the way you tell your story, with such enthusiasm and joy; you can tell you are really proud of this book and that’s more than well deserved! I like the way you make us feel like we are there with you through your first date with Hannah, and that makes us invested in each of your stories. Very funny and cleverly written.
This is a very endearing and funny book, and I’d highly recommend everyone buying it!
Well done Joel! 👏🏼
A JD (not the alcohol JD, but the JD that wrote this book) fan 😀

This book is truly one of the most funny and relatable books I have heard. Made even better by Joel reading it himself which I think always a brill move by a comedian.
I recommend to any child of the early nineties who who worn studded belts instead of popped collar polo shirts (if you know you know.)
Fab work and the beautiful ending.
Joel filled the book and his reading of it,
with his personality. easy listern/read with laugh out loud moments.

Such a great book to listen to. Funny, honest, moving ... Made me laugh out loud so much ...
What’s a great book well read and lots of ups and down. Joel has a way of telling a story and working in lots of others facts.
It was a joy and I was sad when it came towards the end. A sure sign that I loved a book.
I could hear the nerves at the beginning and was thinking of maybe coming back to it another time, but thank heavens I didn't! Joel had me laughing out loud in my car, in fact he has exact feelings of life that I have, so I warmed to him quickly. This book was really well written too, so well done you! So I guess I could say I loved it, excellent read (well, listen lol) and I won't say what happens in the end and spoil it but ...... ooooooooh did she???? Lol
