Interesting

George's droppings certainly engages my brain. Really made me think. However, I didn't give this book very high mark because I didn't find it especially funny. Not in the rolling on the floor with stomach pain sort of way, which was what I was hoping for. Maybe it's just my sense of humor.

Perfectly named book

This is exactly what I would imagine as the brain droppings of George Carlin, now that I think about it. If you're expecting political commentary, you'll be disappointed, but listening to him reminded me of the kind of things my dad would say so it was a nice, easy listen over Father's Day weekend.

Hilarious

His observations of our world and its language specifically the English language is brilliant. His book kept me laughing at his view of our society especially politicians.

A very enjoyable read!!

Outdated and not funny

Just a collection of jokes from different shows. So outdated and pseudo intellectual. As it's a relative short book, I've read it to the end. Dissapointment.

Some trash should just be taken out weekly.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

It could not have moved up.

Has Brain Droppings turned you off from other books in this genre?

No just book by George Carlin. Some people like trash I do not.

What does George Carlin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

A personal view of how to be a low life talker.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Brain Droppings?

All of it it has no real value.

Any additional comments?

If you like trash stock up otherwise stay clear.

Very disapponting

What disappointed you about Brain Droppings?

George Carlin came across as a very negative bad person. It had some good observations but was not funny at all.

Has Brain Droppings turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, just George Carlin.

How could the performance have been better?

Material and performance was pretty bad.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disgust. Why do many comedians think uttering the work F@#ck is funny. It is a word. Get over it. Just because someone says it does not mean everyone is going to howl with laughter.

Expected More

I've been a huge fan of Carlin for a while and have seem him live twice and he was always hilarious. This collection was just not particulary funny, unfortunately.

Not much energy, disappointing.

Not as good as the live stuff I've heard, which I loved and why I bought this book. No energy, somewhat flat delivery, comes across as a bit of a whiner. Some parts were funny, but I found myself wanting to get through it just to be done with it.

Better in concert

While I loved Carlin as a stand-up, tbibook was boring and contrived. It's like you were listening to his musings and rambling without context of an audience.
