I discovered this program in reruns on the BBC over the internet so when I saw the title was available I couldn't resist. The humor is wonderful and I have to wonder how they "got away with it" back in the 1950s. This first collection is just a taste of how the show would eventually deepen and become laugh out loud hilarious. This first season it is finding its footing. The comic timing isn't quite there yet and some of the characters that would later become familiar haven't totally taken root but this collection is good just the same. If you like British humor, have a sense for wordplay and from your history class can remember some of the topical events of the time then you will love this series - Can't wait for the next set to be available. Caution listening on your MP3 player at work can cause folks to stare at you as you laugh uncontrollably.
