Well rounded

All said a very good book. Everything is explained and I found myself wanting to know more. Characters are realistic and well rounded without being overly immature (as other books often have children). I could see this being reality had the Covid variants been as bad as was initially worried. Excited to read the next one.

A New World

I enjoyed this first book in the "Collapse" series. The story was about the survival of a young girl and her family, after the collapse of society, due to the death of millions because of a pandemic. Once the audiobook started, I was so engaged that I had to listen until the end. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. Amanda Kennedy's narration was fine and kept my attention. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Thought I’d reviewed this already

Solid read. Good for teens and young adults. A lot of religion thrown in but not so much that I was turned off by it. It started with me not liking the main protagonist but I grew to like her by the end and she learned as she went along.
Great narration by Amanda Kennedy

Interesting but a bit dry

This is book one of the Collapse series. I started with the prequel and so I may have had higher expectations for this book than what I found. Suffice it to say that the prequel was better. This one was a bit bland for me. Plenty going on but not really engaged in the story like I was in the prequel. Narration was okay but may have contributed to the problem. I think it was the same narrator as the prequel but that one was better.
