Publisher's Summary

Discover the cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) that takes over the world!

Many times, the source of our hard feelings and mental stress is a thinking pattern which we cannot shut down. Our thoughts (cognition) have a significant influence on our emotional feelings.

Our behavior is usually automatic and lacking a decision-making process, which leads us again and again to the same outcome and the same feeling. CBT is about dealing with the thoughts and behaviors which lead us to the same feelings of suffering.

In this outstanding audiobook, you will be able to learn about CBT, discover its benefits, try it on yourself, and reap the benefits!

Here are just a few of the benefits that you can expect with the help of this book:

  • Overcome depression and reduce stress and anxiety
  • Save time and money on expensive psychologists that will give you the same exercises which are found in the book
  • Learn how to build a CBT plan that will suit you and your needs, unlike other CBT books
  • Develop your self-esteem, strengthen your confidence, and thrive in life
  • Enjoy a meaningful life, block negative emotions, and become a happy, inspiring person

What is cognitive behavioral therapy?

CBT is a combination of two psychological approaches which are more similar than different. The therapy focuses on thoughts, thinking patterns, and reality perception. With that, the behavioral therapy focuses on learning and practicing new behaviors, while examining that automatic processes that happen inside of us (and which we are not aware of).

How will I know if this book for me?

There is no one who can't benefit from CBT. With that being said, it is much more beneficial to focus on one problem that you'd like to fix at a time. Therefore, if you're looking for a general psychology book, this audiobook is not for you. This book was authored specifically for those who are going to take action.

You're about to overcome any negative feeling and enjoy a whole new dimension of life!

Clear, concise, and incredibly interesting!

Fascinating book! I was thoroughly impressed by how the author captured the essence of what it is like to suffer from anxiety and depression. While his real world examples were sometimes a bit extreme, I think most of us can relate to the strong emotional thoughts that make us feel depressed. The worksheets and step by step instructions on how we can improve the way we think about ourselves were clear.

I recommend this to all

The techniques described in this book are very natural. Basically, it aims to train the readers on different ways and techniques to redirect our thinking to more positive and constructive habits. By identifying problems, setting goals and overcoming obstacles cognitive behavioral science can benefit nearly everyone. The book teaches you to challenge your thoughts and beliefs, and how to act on ways that are congruent with your new thought patterns.

A Good Self-Help Book

I’m a therapist and bought this as a refresher for the CBT modality. I appreciate that it reads kind of like a self-help book, which makes it easier to translate for my clients. Easy to understand and follow.

Very Helpful

Practical, grounded in research, accessible. In my podcast interview with Frederick L. Begs, it became clear he has a solid grasp of CBT. His book is full of exercises that don’t require a doctor’s help.

Nice One

Amazing, useful, helpful.....I cannot explain enough how this book helped. My advice is to get a notebook to answer the questions, take notes, and write down thoughts. That helped me realize new perspectives on what's going on and what I can do. I suffer from medical anxiety horribly. Just a week before I got the book, I had my worst attack to date.

Good advice

I was pleased to learn how the simple steps provided in this short text can begin to help understand and work through various anxieties and depressions on many levels. The worksheets provided were utilized in the text to give structure to those who may need it, while leaving room for any free spirits to work in their own ways.

Wonderful Guide to CBT

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in a way that is both practical and gentle. I appreciated the advice on incorporating philosophical and religious belief systems into one's CBT practice, as well as the suggestions for further reading and other healthy activities to improve mood and well-being. I consider this a must-listen for anyone struggling with mental illness or stressful situations.
