Addiction part

CBT is a wonderful form of therapy and one of the only helpful forms I’ve found. The authors views on addiction are, in my opinion, overplayed and outdated. Avoiding addiction by instilling fear of possible outcomes is very contradictory to very essence of addiction. The very definition of addiction is “continuous behavior regardless of negative consequences” Teaching or dealing with addiction in this manor perpetuates the core of of many peoples problems. End the stigma of addiction and meet people who are suffering where they are.
