Grab your copy today and learn:

  • What cognitive behavior therapy is and how you can use it
  • How cognitive behavior therapy can change your life
  • How to use CBT to treat depression, panic, and anxiety

A little disappointed

I felt like it barely touched the surface of anxiety. I'll give it another listen. Maybe I'll get more out of it the 2nd time around.

Good read

Very pleased with this purchase! I haven't been able to go to a therapist in quite some time but I've already received more from this book in two weeks than I have from probably ALL of my past therapists combined. Well, one specific therapist excluded, but he was amazing! (DBT therapist)

I judge books and workbooks in this style by seeing if they measure up to the excellent therapy in my own history. I am pleased to say that this book delivers! I'm very fond of CBT work and found this book very helpful, sound, and still quite approachable. This is a great resource.

Informing book!

Informing book! I appreciate the book’s effort to use a scientific approach; however, I found two points to consider. At some point, I am not sure if they complement each other, but, I think the book was able to justify its goals. I think as the title of the book is scientific or psychological, I was actually looking for some factual or scientific analysis in the book. Unfortunately, there is none. All in all, I appreciate the efforts given in this book.

Soooooo good!

Though Talking to Yourself was one of the earliest self help books to teach Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, it remains one of the most straight forward and "user friendly" books of its type. Since negative self talk and mistreating of oneself results in many different kinds of emotional pain, Talking to Yourself is helpful for a wide array of difficulties including: depression; anger and sexual problems; overeating; and other self destructive habits. I highly recommend this book.

An incredible listen

I find that as much today as when it was first written, the patients I recommend it to , find it among the most helpful things that I suggest in our attempt to combat their destructive self talk.
