eclectic collection

This was an intriguing collection of short stories exposing the human condition at its best and worst, bare and raw to dissect and ponder. This was like a car accident you can't look away from, and it leaves its imprint on you. Some of the stories tore at my heart. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review . The narrator did a good job.

Entertaining Collection

COFFEE AT MIDNIGHT by Brandon Ford is very wide ranging collection of stories from horrific, dark humor, disturbing and thought provoking. Definitely an entertaining audiobook.

Fascinating Short Stories

Coffee at Midnight offers a plethora of short stories that range from funny, heartbreaking to disturbing. The stories are well written and very descriptive. Michael Butler did a stellar job as the narrator with voices full of emotion which brought the stories to life. I highly recommend this book. I am voluntarily leaving this review that is my honest unbiased opinion.

Awesome collection of stories.

Michael Butler reads in a way that really captivates you as you are listening. Each story is wonderfully written, and there is a moment in each one that will make your jaw drop. I highly enjoyed listening and am excited to listen to more.

Highly entertaining collection of short stories

I have to say, I really enjoyed listening to these stories. Every one of them was entertaining and unpredictable. This is my first book by this author but I definitely will be looking at more of his work. The narration was also fantastic. This is one of the few books I will most likely listen to again sometime. I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator.

EXCELLENT COLLECTION!

I loved it! Although the stories in this book are short, they don't lack entertainment. This book is full of suspense and humor. The narration was great. The author did an excellent job with the characters and plot. This was my first book by this author but definitely not my last! I look forward to reading more books from this author! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Unique Collection

I’ve read just about everything that Brandon Ford has to offer in the horror genre.

That being said, it was interesting to hear him branching out other genres. This collection of delightful literary tales covers just about everything from bickering old couples to vengeful wedding toasts and childhood feats of strength.

Even though the stories are short, the characters are well thought out, realistic, and it was easy to relate to the qualms of every MC. In the usual Brandon Ford way, each story ends with a sort of twist.

My favorites in the collection were:

The Claw End: An old married couple bickering over a photo frame takes a violent turn.

Under Your Spell: A hypnotist uses his powers for evil to pursue the love his life who coincidentally also happens to be the love of his identical brother’s life as well.

Tastes Good: Upon stumbling into a crime scene, a college student assumes it’s a prank and promptly licks the blood off the corpse.

Narration was solid and straightforward.

I found myself laughing and going what !!!!I

This collection of stories is full of monsters. They are human, but no less frightening or horrific. These stories, have dark humour , but for the most part, these stories are chilling and creepy.
