The highly anticipated sequel to Close Liaisons

In Lenkarda - the main Krinar colony on Earth - Mia is completely at Korum's mercy. With no way to leave and no idea how to operate even the most basic Krinar technology, she has no choice but to trust the K who brought her there - the lover whom she had betrayed.

Will he keep his promise to bring her home, or is she destined to be his prisoner forever? Can a human become a part of Krinar society? Does Korum love her, or does he only wish to possess her?

Listen to find out…

Reseñas de la Crítica

"If you're looking for some sexy summer reads, you'll want to check out the new book series, Krinar Chronicles. Author Anna Zaires brings you a kind of 50 Shades of Grey meets Star Trek tale . . ." ( Marie Claire)
"For diehard fans of the paranormal romance genre, author Anna Zaires's risqué new book could be your next guilty pleasure. Zaires's most recent read, Close Liaisons, combines a love story with science fiction in the tale of Mia, an unassuming college student whose life gets suddenly entangled in a dangerous, otherworldly affair." ( Woman's Day)
Engaging Plot Twists • Fascinating Alien Technology • Good Voice Quality • Character Development • Deepening Romance

Loved it! The aliens technology is simply amazing and I really enjoyed seeing how they live in their colony. Zaires imagination is amazing. I also really liked how the relationship with Korum & Mia is developing. We get to see a different side to Korum and I love him all the better for it. I don't know if I fully trust him, but that just makes it even more interesting. Mia seems more mature than she was in the first book, and I could actually feel them growing closer together in this book. Their relationship is beyond hot, very sexual, and I can't wait to see what happens in book 3. There is a danger looming and I am very curious to see who this mysterious K is.

Even better than the first!

I do feel a great deal of sorrow for this girl she is definitely in over her !!

But life is challenging , you just got to keep going sweetie

I don't like Korum , he puts a lot on her and expects her total supplication, but does not take into account that she is human.

he may understand all the human languages and lived on earth for over 700 years, but he does not understand humans,

Honestly the K should just leave , I understand why Star Trek had a prime directive. There is a big reason for that.

WOW , in over her head !!

I really enjoyed these sexy light reads about aliens in New York. Unfortunately, the first two books are read by two different, but equally awful readers. Why do publishers do this? They destroy a books chances at being purchased when they pick bad readers. Are they just given a list of names and choose by tossing a dart? Doesn't anyone bother to listen to samples of the readers work -- or better yet, audition them?

I haven's listened to book 3 -- but I don't have high hopes.

Skip these in audio unless you love to be frustrated.

Bad Narrator ruins another book

Ok, let me start by saying the reason I absolutely love this book and the previous book is the fantasy aspect. The alien vampire technology is a dream come true. Now if you don't enjoy the fanciful stuff your not going to be happy with this book. I love the fanciful world this book took me to. It was a very advanced world that I enjoyed due to the great imagination of AZ. I think that AZ is a extremely talented author and I do like her style. Also the sexual content is intense. That's always a plus.

Now I must address the narration. It's just BAD. You cannot tell the male voice from the female .All the characters blend together. This is a very good book and it would be so much better with a good narrator. Please change narration for the next book!!

This is not a stand alone book. Get book 1 before this one. If your a ScFy fan and you like allot of romance thrown in with it, then this series is for you. There are narration issues but maybe Book 3 will be better. I'm sure you can tell from my comments it's a YES!! This book is worth that credit.

My kind of flavor!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

The production and narration was so poor, that the only thing that recommends the book was the continuity of the story.

Would you recommend Close Obsession to your friends? Why or why not?

Yes, I would recommend the book, and the series.

What didn’t you like about Kitty Hendrix’s performance?

Narration pace was too fast. I kept checking that I had not accidentally selected 1.5 speed on the Audible app. The production did not allow enough pauses at the end of sentences and at the end of each chapter. Uncomfortable listening experience - like speeding things up to meet a pre-defined total running time (TRT). Awful.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, the book was hard to put down.

Any additional comments?

Series audio books should always have the same narrator. This series had a different narrator for each of the three books, which made it hard to concentrate on the story and follow which character was speaking, because of each narrator's different style.
