Very Good

I like this one and I'm going to be on the lookout for more from this author. I listened to it in one sitting. Well worth my credit. Caution contains explict sexual content.

I can't believe how much I enjoyed the book

I don't usually like books without answers, the ending or arrogant/disrespectful male characters... But this book not only kept my undivided attention, but I also listened to it twice in a row. As of right now, this author is on auto download for me. I really hope the same narrator will continue with the series. I will look for other books narrated by Kathleen Godwin, she did an excellent job. I really think this book should be included in erotica section.

IT TOOK CONTROL OVER ME AND I LOVED IT

This is a must listen to for any PNR lover - it's got sooo many GREATS in it - great world-building, great action, a great amount of great sex scenes, great characters, great suspense and all written by a truly great and gifted author.

Earth has been taken over by the Krinar's aliens who try to live alongside the humans but when Mia (a 21 yr old naive virgin who's still at Uni) suddenly sets eyes on an alien in the park called Korum (a handsome, sexy, intelligent billionaire) it was a close encounter she's going to both come to love and regret. Korum doesn't take no for an answer from her and wants to possess her mind, body and soul and brutishly gets his wish but Mia is fighting for her independence (amongst other things) and has a few surprises for him too. But you just can't help liking both these main characters.

This is a WOW, OH NO, YES YES YES, DON'T DO IT, WOOO HOOO, WHOA, PHEW, MMMM DELISH, RUN, ARGHH, AHHHHH, and a big SIGH when their tumultuous romance concludes and I desperately went straight on to book 2 because I can't wait to see what's coming next.

Worth a credit? I downloaded the whole trilogy and I would have gladly used more credits up to listen to this awesome, fantastic and brilliant series which blew me away..... so that's a YES.

I Enjoyed This One Very Much!

A very interesting twist on "War of the Worlds." I found Korum to be a fascinating character and Mia to truly be naïve. Because Mia is so inexperienced, she does not think to ask questions that she should and it could have cost her a great deal. This story also shows what can go wrong when your "Allies" don't give you the whole truth about things.

There are many things that were left unexplained in this book, but that give me a reason to look forward to the next in this series. I do hope that Anna Zaires continues with Korum and Mia's story and more about the Krinar.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Love the interaction between Mia and Korum!. I just loved their chemistry. It reminded me of Christian and Anatesia.

Have you listened to any of Kathleen Godwin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

First time listening to her. I really enjoyed listening to her.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! I even listening it at work! LOL That is how much I could not stop listening to it. I can't wait for Close Obsession The Krinar Chronicles: Volume 2.

I loved it so much that I am recommending it to friends. I wonder how a movie would be like? hmmm

Better than I expected!

This book was better than I expected. I was not sure what to expect from the whole alien theme but if you are a fan of paranormal romance you will enjoy this series. Great character building. I am definitely looking forward to the continuation of this series. Worth the credit!

It is an erotic tale .. So if you are like reading erotica then you will enjoy this story

Enjoyed it so much, part 2 is out in print and I picked up a copy .. yet to read but can hardly wait

Pretty good story, narration could use some work..

I really got into this story. I usually don't do Alien romance because it is never done right...but this was done pretty good. I read all the reviews and I am glad I didn't past this one up. The narration was well... after like chapter 2 you just kinda fall into it. You just don't notice the same female voices and the same male voices. I liked it actually. I really did. Maybe book 2 which is due to come out in August will have another narrator...but I if not, I think I will still pre-order. This was simple a great listen. Nothing spectacular...but a great story none the less. I really want to know what Korum is gonna do, after he got all betrayed on! LOL.... Plus I really want to see what the Alien compound is like... Book 2.. is definitely on pre-order lock down..

Good credit. Save your money...It wasn't that great due to narration...but great great credit.

Riviting Story!

This is one of my all time favorite authors! Her stories never disappoint me! The Krinar Chronicles are the most uniquely written storylines I have ever read. The main male character is so arrogant and bold and over the following two books you see him turn almost human. The sensuality of the sex scenes is so intimate.....and incredibly illustrative. You cannot stop with the first book. This makes Shades of Gray boring!

Good listen

What made the experience of listening to Close Liaisons the most enjoyable?

The narration was good, Ms. Godwin did a great job with both male and female voices. The storyline was plausible, for fantasy, and I liked the conflict the main character went through the love/hate dichotomy. Looking forward to book #2.

Escape..

A civil invasion, a 2000 year old alien, subterfuge, in a precarious situation, college student Mia finds herself torn between the resistance and a very powerful lover who pulls her into a world where there is no escape.I was kind of creeped out by the total roughshod approach of this K. The moral and personal dilemma Mia finds herself is in what drew me in. A definite favourite of what I have read so far this year, very pleased that Anne Zaire put pen to paper... loved the dark twisted under currents, the clever nano technology, world and premise and of course the very freaky tense relationship.... a must read for those who like tense, erotic, psychological thriller/science fiction.

Sorry to say this book wasn't for me to little story, very predictable, to much sex which got boring!

Ghastly

I'm really not sure why I've continued with the series.
The Sci-Fi elements are poorly described and for some reason, are completely unbelievable. Since the point of Sci-Fi is to make extraordinary technology commonplace, this book is quite ridiculous.
Its attempt at Erotica is banal, bland and boring.
The plot is pitiful. Any potential it has is poorly executed and flat. Any anticipation fizzles out with no punch.
The author has a bash at 50 Shades (billionaire, great lover; a naif in awe but quietly strong) but with worse writing. Given how poorly written 50 Shades is, it's amazing to read something worse.
