The faster the climb, the further the fall.

Arthur Chua has conquered the first floor of the Tower, but his journey is far from over. With his new ally Casey Chin by his side, he's got a real chance of building the Clan. The problem is, their alliance hinges on one factor: speed.

Arthur and his Benevolent Durians must climb with Casey, as fast as possible to get her a speed run bonus. But the Tower remains as treacherous as ever, growing more dangerous with every step. The Durians will need to balance their ascent speed with their cultivation progress if they hope to succeed.

Survival is no longer the only goal—it's a speed run to the top, and the stakes have never been higher.

I generally like this author, but the constant attacks from him has made me think I will stop giving him my money.

The constant anti-American rhetoric

I was drawn to this series because I love the concept and the system, but this book was a struggle to get through. While I had hoped to continue the series, the main character's constant rhyming and the way it was performed made the audiobook a very difficult listen.

The sheer volume of rhyming, combined with the narrator’s delivery, became a source of tedium that consistently took me out of the story. Listening to the main character felt more like a chore than an enjoyable experience.

This one specific element was so distracting that I can't in good conscience recommend this book, and I have decided to stop listening to the series. If you're considering this book, please be aware that the main character's rhyming is a major part of the experience.
