I tried to give it a shot. The writing is poor and the reader's pacing is bizarre. I hope I can get my credit back because I just can't listen anymore!

Every person teaching post high school must read.

A lot of great insights. The techniques explained in this book provide the listener the opportunity to start implementing these today. At the same time, those with a growth mindset will find themselves diving deeper into many of these techniques on their own.

Excellent book on classroom management

I like the way this book focuses on building positive relationships with students and working from there to help students succeed. Having this book in audio form is convenient, so while driving to my school, I can be listening and possibly get an idea I could use in class that day to help my students succeed. Classroom management expert

Having read the book and listened to the audio book, I can't begin to tell you how valuable this book has been in my classroom. There are so many easy to implement ideas.I feel any teacher who takes the time to put the principles of this book to practice in the classroom will soon be a very happy and celebrated teacher. 😴 Boring voice!

couldn't get beyond 5 mins the narrators voice was so boring! He was supposed to be speaking about classroom management but he wouldn't last 1 minute infront of a class!

Very little content, appalling delivery

The book is largely common sense with few specific strategies. The writing style is stuffy and antiquated (if you read all the positive reviews below, they are also written in this strange style (coincidence?)). It feels like it is written by a non English speaker. The narration is terrible. If I spoke like this in a class with wired ... pauses, often mid ... sentence, I would be torn to shreds. It sounds like it has been narrated by a robot. It’s pretty damned bad:
