Beautiful

The Prophet is Gibran???s masterpiece, a wonderful blending of timeless wisdom with beautiful poetry. I???ve read the book and have heard other audio versions, but this recording by the late Paul Sparer is without equal.

Timeless Wisdom

This needs to be listened to many times as you will hear something new with every listen. Almost allows you to step out of life and be an observer. Very powerful, very thought provoking, very beautiful.

Prophetic prophet

I had a copy of this on cassete tape, loved to listen to it then and even more now, Ipod makes it so much easier to enjoy.. Inspiring to listen to in this format, as in its prior overly listened cassete format.. Enjoyed listening to it this morning at work before the day began.. Narrator, pleasant to hear,, and as always Khail Gibran a pleasure to visit again and again....

Magnificent and profound

This has been one of my favorite books since I found it in California in 1967 when I was a young woman. I have lost my copy and I got the idea when I was thinking about which book order with my free credit on Audible to download it. I could not be more pleased. Paul Sparer Has a magnificent voice for this special book and he reads it impeccably with complete command of the English language. I just love this translation. Thank you audible thank you.

A must read...

All must read this short but sensational work; humanity needs Gibran's words like the people of Orphelese needed the prophet's.

Beautiful

This is my first foray into Khalil Gibran's work and l must admit that l am mersmerised and drawn in equal measure. This book and the narration is beautiful. I have listened to it twice already. Too many quotes and images for me to consider.
