Critic reviews

"The cast is perfection: just to listen to John Gielgudwould be pleasure enough, but each cast member is terrific." ( AudioFile)
"It will come as no surprise that Gielgud and Richardson, as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, are as perfect a pairing as are the fictional detective team." ( Publishers Weekly)

Very entertaining. A lovely listen.

This was a wonderful performance by some legendary actors from a time long gone, sadly.
Timeless and very entertaining.

Sherlocked

Sherlock at his Sheockiest. Its fun, clever and the voice acting/sound effects are great for the time. Radio drama at its best.

Radio Flare

I loved the characters. Sir John Gielgud was great as Sherlock. I liked listening as if I was listening to a play to place. ... radio flare.
Not enough stories

Fun shorts but kind of disappointed

Maybe it was because it's a graphic audio rather than just read from cover to cover, but the stories just didn't seems very engaging. The voices were good but he violin drove me crazy.

I liked the short story aspect. It's nice to just listen for 20 minutes and have a mystery story told.

It's like listening to an old radio show! Love it!

The only complaint is that the accents and voices are so soothing that sometimes it put me to sleep, but when I was up doing things and listening, I'd get taken away into the story!

You'll hit replay over and over again!

I loved how John Gielgud and Ralph Richardson equally portrayed the characters of Sir Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson to a "T"!!! Perfect pairing and both complemented each other. Truly believable and I was quite happy with their performance. You'll want to keep listening to this over and over again.
