Not sure why this is a classic

Nicely written but not much of a plot, very discriptive. The time and location are the focus. Good narration.

If you like Little House

Fans of Little House on the Prairie or The Waltons will enjoy this look back on pioneer days in turn-of-the-century Nebraska. The characterization is interesting and the scenery well-described.
