Publisher's Summary

Little Men brilliantly extends the March family saga begun in Louisa May Alcott's classic Little Women. Jo---now married to the good-natured Professor Bhaer and with sons of her own---has become the unflappable matron of an extended family at Plumfield, a school that the Bhaers have founded with Aunt March's legacy. Jo's rambunctious youngsters grow up in an atmosphere full of high spirits and misadventure---a world enlivened by Alcott's unique powers of observation and sympathy.

Narrated well.

As expected, Louisa May Alcott never disappoints. Easy to listen, descriptive, and a great follow up to little Women.

Justine also beautifully narrated this book - giving my imagination the chance to live in a another world. I loved going through it.

Good narration, great story!😇

I love how Mrs. Jo teaches the kids how to be little men! The narration is slightly hard to understand but DON’T slow down the narration speed! Slowing it down takes the emotional feel out of it. -Connor, 10 years old

Wonderful!

This was a wonderful follow-up to Little Women. The story is wonderful, and Justine Eyre does a lovely job narrating.

Not a continuation of Little Women

Something happened to Louisa May Alcott between her masterpiece and this sad sequel. The Jo in this book is just a shadow of the character in the first book. She has no inner thoughts or feelings. And the other reappearing characters are likewise pale reflections. Instead we have one trite anecdote of little boys' precious antics after another, with nothing deeper going on. Really a disappointment. I was all set to binge the entire trilogy but I couldn't even finish this silly nonsense.

an amazing piece of work

I listened to this while mowing the grass, and I never looked forward to a chore as much as I have so far this summer! Truly a wonderful story for a mother and for children, both boys and girls, with hilarious and sobering tales migled throughout

The best of humanity illustrated by Alcott.

the author was obviously a tremendous human being, gifted by God with wisdom and a mind to articulate so beautifully what really matters in this life

Great story, poor reading

My daughter and I both really enjoy this follow up to Little Women. It is different, yes, but a delightful story just the same. My daughter was so excited to get the Audible version of it to listen to, but she just could not even make it through because the reader is so off-putting. I'm really surprised at the good reviews for this reader, honestly. I would highly suggest listening to a sample before you buy this version. The voices of the children are just so bad. We will be deleting this version and seeking out another. I think we could find better on Librivox for free.
