Love to listen to B. J. Harrison 's narrative., he can literally breathe life into a story. I vaguely remember this tale from my childhood; it's great to read/listen to the classics a second time around. Gives me a better understanding and appreciation of the story.

This was a delightful listen. Not a dull moment. Plenty of twists, almost a detective story at times. Serendipity takes place a couple of times, but it does not overwhelm the plot and I guess in real life, stuff happens. There are a couple of really good characters in this short story.
B.J. Harrison does a lot of these books, because he is good, at what he does. He has never disappointed me.

Though I've both read & heard the Arabian Nights tales numerous times during my life, they never fail to delight me, & I never grow bored with them. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing Ali Baba's story yet again. I usually prefer audio books to reading e-books or actual books these days because of health problems that make it difficult for me to read anything but short articles, emails, etc. (as long as I don't overdo it). Also, I've heard a number of books narrated by B.J. Harrison (including this one), and he is a first-rate reader. His reading is always animated, interesting, & expressive...never boring or monotonous...in all the books I've listened to in which B.J. is narrator, so far. I recommend his narrations unreservedly...and Arabian Nights tales especially!

Lots of excitement packed into a short story. The hero will surprise you in this one however.

The narrator was very good. Not perfect, but sufficiently good that it didn't feel right to give less than 4 stars.
Tale was great, of course.

As far as folklore goes I guess it's alright. The story really does have a lot of stupid people behaving stupidly though. Narrator was fine.

Both story and performance are of mediocre quality. However, it's a great price for an hour to kill if you are unfamiliar with the story.
