This newer edition of the King James Bible published in 1769 is usually preferred by most that read it over the older 1611 version. This 1769 edition is highly sought after due to being more reader/listener friendly than the 1611 since many typos were fixed.... A Christmas Carol
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
A all time classic story, that stands the test of time, and, as always, with Dickens, a message, that can be deciphered.
What was one of the most memorable moments of A Christmas Carol?
The Ghost(s) visiting Scrooge.
What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The emotions of the characters/ players.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Scrooge has his epiphany, and his whole world, and life change.
Any additional comments?
I was disappointed in the lack of difference/pitch, in the voiced parts. I did not think there was a good blend of voiced parts. I did not particularly like the narrators voice. I purchased this on the strength, of my perception, of Alistair Sims movie performance. My all-time favorite Christmas Carol movie.
